16. Reliability-based evaluation of concrete dams
Abstract : Swedish concrete dams are designed and assessed based on deterministic design using safety factors. The combination of increasing age, new methods for calculation of design floods and increasing demands by society to ensure a high level of safety, has resulted in upgrading and rebuilding needs for dams. 17. On Cyber-Security for In-Vehicle Software
Abstract : We live in a highly connected world, which brings many opportunities, but which also makes us vulnerable to attacks. Security in regular IT systems, such as desktop and server systems, has decades of active research behind it, whereas security in the automotive domain is still a relatively new topic. READ MORE

18. Human-Robot Collaboration for Kinesthetic Teaching
Abstract : Recent industrial interest in producing smaller volumes of products in shorter time frames, in contrast to mass production in previous decades, motivated the introduction of human–robot collaboration (HRC) in industrial settings, as an attempt to increase flexibility in manufacturing applications by incorporating human intelligence and dexterity to these processes. This thesis presents methods for improving the involvement of human operators in industrial settings where robots are present, with a particular focus on kinesthetic teaching, i. READ MORE

19. Supporting model evolution in model-driven development of automotive embedded system
Abstract : Innovative functions in cars, such as active safety systems and advanced driver assistance systems, are realized as embedded systems. The development of such automotive embedded systems is challenging in several respects: the product typically has several crosscutting system properties, experts of diverse disciplines need to cooperate and appropriate processes and tools are required to improve the effciency and the complexity management of development. 20. Allergic rhinitis and intralymphatic vaccination : immune response and tolerance
Abstract : The overall goal of this thesis was to study novel immunological mechanisms for the development of pollen-induced allergic rhinitis (AR) and to evaluate the clinical response in combination with immunological changes in AR patients treated with intralymphatic immunotherapy (ILIT). In paper I, an increased fraction of neutrophils were detected in the nasal mucosa of AR patients compared with healthy controls. READ MORE
