11. Network-layer mobility in wireless ad hoc access networks
Abstract : This thesis proposes and discusses solutions to enable network-layer mobility in wireless ad hoc access networks. The deployment of wireless access networks has made them ubiquitous and current research strives to make them pervasive. READ MORE

12. Creating Correct Network Protocols
Abstract : Network protocol construction is a complex and error prone task. The challenges originate both from the inherent complexity of developing correct program code and from the distributed nature of networked systems. Protocol errors can have devastating consequences. READ MORE

13. Improved Performance of Bluetooth with Focus on Ad-Hoc Applications
Abstract : The number of devices making use of Bluetooth cable-replacement technology has rapidly increased in numbers thanks to the amount of implementations in cellular telephones, Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs), etc. Instead of the point-to-point technique used today the wireless community demands more sophisticated solutions to transmit information between two devices, e. 15. On the practical feasibility of fair TCP communications in IEEE 802.11 based multihop ad hoc wireless networks
Abstract : In the center of this dissertation is the question whether it is practically feasible to achieve deterministically good quality for traditional network services such as le transfer and Web browsing in multihop wireless mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs). Despite the straight forward benets of MANETs such as quick installation due to the absence of wireline infrastructure, and the virtue of dynamic re-conguration, these networks mainly exist in research labs so far.
