1. Adrenocortical tumors : Diagnosis, growth regulation and treatment
Abstract : Monoclonal antibodies generated by immunization with human adrenocortical cells reacted with the normal adrenal cortex, adrenocortical adenomas and carcinomas, but failed to stain a variety of normal tissues, renal cell carcinoma, and pheocromocytomas. The antibodies can be used to improve histological diagnosis and characterization of human adrenal lesions, and possibly for scintigraphic detection. READ MORE

2. Improved adrenocortical PET imaging
Abstract : Introduction: Adrenal tumours can either be benign or malignant, hormone secreting or not, and they can be discovered through clinical examination of the patient or by pure chance. Increased knowledge in the area, plus the widespread use of imaging techniques, have resulted in a rising number of patients with adrenal tumours that subsequently need to be diagnosed. READ MORE

3. Insights into the transcriptomic profiling of adrenocortical tumors
Abstract : An adrenocortical tumour (ACT) can be detected in up to 5% of the population older than 50 years of age. The frequency increases with age. More ACTs are being detected in parallel with the increased use of high-resolution imaging. READ MORE

5. Intraoperative scintigraphic detection of abdominal endocrine tumors : Development and evaluation of hand held gamma sensitive probes for¹¹¹In
Abstract : Surgery of endocrine tumors benefit from accurate pre and- intraoperative localization methods, and scintigraphy has become an important contribution in this respect. In the present thesis therequisites for scintigraphic localization of abdominal endocrine tumors and new detectors forintraoperative gammadetection are evaluated. READ MORE
