1. Adsorption at the Solid-Liquid Interface: An Atomic Force Microscopy Study
Abstract : The aim of the work presented in this thesis was to investigate nature of adsorption of amphiphiles to the solid–liquid interface. The surface aggregate structures of the zwitterionic surfactant dodecyldimethylammoniopropanesulfonate, (DDAPS) and a series of nonionic polyoxyethlylene glycol alkyl ethers (C10E5, C12E5, C12E8, C10E6, C14E6 and C16E6) have been determined by Atomic Force Microscopy on solids of different hydrophobicity. 2. On Clustering of Random Points in the Plane and in Space
Abstract : If n points are independently and uniformly distributed in a large rectangular parallelepiped, A in Rd, d =2,3, they may possibly aggregate in such a way that they are contained in some translate of a given convex set C in A. If the points are replaced by copies of C, these translated sets may have a non-empty intersection. READ MORE

3. Mehanics of Rock Fragmentation Static and Dynamic Laboratory Testing Applied to Aggregate Production
Abstract : Knowing the strength properties of rocks is essential for calculating the stability of natural slopes, constructions in and on rock, excavations, blasting geometry, crushing, and drilling. When rock and rock masses are subjected to either dynamic or static loads, the tensile strength is determined by tests appropriate to the load type. READ MORE

4. Discrete Element Modelling and Simulation of Vibratory Screens
Abstract : In Sweden about 85 million tonnes aggregate is used for road, railway and concrete every year. Crushing is the main process for producing the aggregate material in different fractions. The crushing process is divided into two sub-processes; comminution and separation. READ MORE

5. DEM Modelling of Vibratory Screens
Abstract : In Sweden, about 100 million tons of aggregate is used for road, railway, and concrete every year. Crushing is the main process for producing aggregate material in different fractions. The production process is divided into two sub-processes: comminution or size reduction and classification. READ MORE
