1. Hydronic Heating Systems The Effect of Design on System Sensitivity
Abstract : This thesis starts from the recognition that a hydronic heating system can be optimised, but can never be totally perfect. Sooner or later, in practice, deviations - caused by one or more components having slightly different characteristics or settings than they are assumed or supposed to have - arise. READ MORE

2. Thermodynamic Simulation of HCCI Engine Systems
Abstract : This thesis focuses on engine system simulation using thermodynamics and chemical kinetic models to investigate the performance and efficiency of Homogeneous Charge Compression Ignition (HCCI) engines for stationary applications. It includes the development of software as well as models for engine, turbocharger, intercooler, inlet and exhaust manifolds, wastegate valve, inlet air humidifier, inlet air heater and more. 3. On Premixed Gas Fuelled Stirling Engine Combustors with Combustion Gas Recirculation
Abstract : The main objective in the research described in this thesis was to design and test the use of lean premixed combustion using combustion gas recirculation for gas fuelled Stirling engine combustors. A system using a flame-arrester type of flame-holder to stabilize the flame and an ejector system for the recirculation of combustion gas was designed and tested in the laboratory. READ MORE

4. Energy Efficiency Improvements of Tumble Dryers : -Technical Development, Laundry Habits and Energy Labelling
Abstract : Tumble dryers are becoming more and more common in ordinary households as a complement to the washing machine. Tumble dryers offer a fast drying cycle independent on weather conditions and require small space. They do, however, considering the large number of units use a large amount of electricity. READ MORE

5. Reduction of prime energy consumption in the Middle East by GSHP systems
Abstract : The global energy consumption, which increased ~84% during last thirty years, exceeded 1.4.1011 MWh in 2008. It is projected to increase another ~39% until 2030. READ MORE
