  1. 16. Over-the-Air Performance Estimation of Wireless Device Antennas

    Author : Sathyaveer Prasad; Peter Händel; Gert Frölund Pedersen; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Abstract : This thesis work presents studies on the available measurement methods for estimating the over-the-air (OTA) performance of wireless device antennas. This thesis is divided into two parts. READ MORE

  2. 17. Systemic effects of occupational exposure to arsenic : with special reference to peripheral circulation and nerve function

    Author : Birgitta Json Lagerkvist; Umeå universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Arsenic toxicity; Cold-induced vasospasm; Finger systolic pressure; Nerve conduction velocity; Occupational exposure; Raynaud s phenomenon; Serotonin antagonist;

    Abstract : Smelter workers who were exposed to air-borne arsenic for a mean of 23 years, and age-matched referents, were examined with clinical, physiological, and neurophysiological methods. Exposure to arsenic in workroom air was estimated to have been around the Swedish occupational limits, which were 500 yg/m before 1975 and 50 yg/ra thereafter. READ MORE

  3. 18. Aerosols of Isocyanates, Amines and Anhydrides : Sampling and Analysis

    Author : Jakob Dahlin; Gunnar Skarping; Robert P. Streicher; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; isocyanate; amine; aminoisocyanate; organic acid anhydride; denuder; impactor; impinger; air sampling; LC-MS; LC-CLND; di-n-butylamine; DBA; thermal degradation; aerosol; particles; TDI; MDI; HDI; ICA; MIC; IPDI; exposure; occupational health; Analytical chemistry; Analytisk kemi; Analytical Chemistry; analytisk kemi;

    Abstract : This thesis presents methods for air sampling and determination of isocyanates, amines, aminoisocyanates and anhydrides. These organic compounds are generated during thermal degradation of polymers such as polyurethane (PUR) or epoxy.Isocyanates, amines and anhydrides are airway irritants known to cause occupational asthma. 4. 19. Modeling and Performance of Gas Turbine Cycles with Various Means of Blade Cooling

    Author : Kristin Jordal; Kraftverksteknik; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; fluid dynamics; Gases; termodynamik; Termisk teknik; applied thermodynamics; Thermal engineering; blade cost; HAT cycle; humid air; model validation; blade cooling modeling; thermodynamic simulations; blade cooling; Gas turbine; plasmas; Gaser; fluiddynamik; plasma; Mechanical engineering; hydraulics; vacuum technology; vibration and acoustic engineering; Maskinteknik; hydraulik; vakuumteknik; vibrationer; akustik;

    Abstract : A method for simulating the cooled gas turbine is demonstrated. Based on equations and other knowledge found in the literature, a first-law thermodynamic, non-dimensional model is established and implemented in the equation-solving, programmable software IPSEpro. READ MORE

  5. 20. Automation, hyphenation and multidimensional chromatography for PAH analysis : Analytical techniques to simplify sample complexity

    Author : Hwanmi Lim; Roger Westerholm; Christoffer Bergvall; Stephen Wise; Stockholms universitet; []
