    Author : Alia Amir; Jan Anward; Mathias Broth; Nigel Musk; Arja Piirainen-Marsh; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : HUMANITIES; HUMANIORA; HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; Conversation analysis; ethnomethodology; language policy; practiced language policy; language policing; classroom discourse; EFL; TEFL; codeswitching; Samtalsanalys; etnometodologi; språkpolitik; language policing; klassrumsinteraktion; engelskundervisning; kodväxling;

    Abstract : This study investigates foreign language classroom talk and micro-level language policy-in-process from an ethnomethodological conversation analytic perspective. The study is based on 20 hours of video recordings from 20 lessons in an English as a Foreign Language classroom (EFL) in grades 8 and 9 of an international compulsory school in Sweden between the years 2007 and 2010. 2. 2. Pheromonal Mediated Behaviour and Endocrine Responses in Salmonids : The impact of Cypermethrin, Copper, and Glyphosate

    Author : Alia Jaensson; Ingvar Brandt; Håkan Olsen; Kjell Döving; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Cypermethrin; copper; glyphosate; behaviour; hormones; pheromones; olfaction; 11-ketotestosterone 11-KT ; 17α; 20β-dihydroxy-4-pregnen-3-one 17; 20β-P ; reproduction; Toxicology; Toxikologi; Biologi med inriktning mot ekotoxikologi; Biology with specialization in Environmental Toxicology;

    Abstract : The effects of cypermethrin, copper and glyphosate on the endocrine system and subsequent response to female pheromones were investigated in mature male brown trout (Salmo trutta) parr.  Responses measured were the amount of strippable milt, blood plasma levels of both an androgen (11-ketotestosterone (11-KT)) and a progestin (17α,20β-dihydroxy-4-pregnen-3-one (17,20b-P)), and behavioural changes. 3. 3. Phases in the NaNbO₃-Nb₂O₅-WO₃ system : derivation of complex structures by twinning, fourling and anti-phase-boundary operations on the ReO₃-type structure

    Author : Bengt-Olof Marinder; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : The compounds of the title system are reviewed with emphasis on their crystal structures. The principles used in describing them include not only the well-known concept of crystallographic shear in ReOg and the concomitant notion of block structures but also new applications of the idea of chemical twinning of an ReO^-type structure on the unit cell level. 4. 4. Towards synthesis of biologically important phosphate analogues : exploring H-phosphonate and C-phosphonate chemistry

    Author : Annika Kers; Robert Letsinger; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Organic Chemistry; organisk kemi;

    Abstract : This thesis is based on studies directed towards the development of methods for the preparation of phosphorus containing natural products, with the focus on C-phosphonate nucleic acid analogues.Mechanistic studies concerning formation of the phosphorus-carbon bond resulted in development of two efficient protocols for the synthesis of C-phosphonates from the corresponding H-phosphonate derivatives. 5. 5. Synthesis, Coding, and Evaluation of 3D Images Based on Integral Imaging

    Author : Roger Olsson; Youzhi Xu; Mårten Sjöström; Tingting Zhang; Aljoscha Smolic; Mittuniversitetet; []
    Keywords : ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Integral Imaging; 3D images; coding; quality evaluation; H.264 AVC; JP3D; Telecommunication; Telekommunikation;

    Abstract : In recent years camera prototypes based on Integral Imaging (II) have emerged that are capable of capturing three-dimensional (3D) images. When being viewed on a 3D display, these II-pictures convey depth and content that realistically change perspective as the viewer changes the viewing position. READ MORE
