Abstract :
The combination of a concentrated solar power (CSP) plant and a thermal energy storage (TES) system is a promising technology for power generation, in that it overcomes the challenges commonly faced by renewable energy systems, such as intermittency, dispatchability, and the gap between the energy supply and energy demand. The third generation (Gen3) CSP plants are designed to increase plant efficiency by using supercritical carbon dioxide (sCO2) instead of steam for the Brayton cycle gas turbines, requiring a minimum operating temperature of 750°C for the TES materials. Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; strukturkemi; Structural Chemistry;
Abstract :
In the present work, several possible interpretations of the grain refining mechanisms of aluminium castings after additions of titanium and boron are compared with the results of critical test experiments. The presence of B does not seem to affect the binary Al-Ti phase diagram close to the A1 comer, except for formation of boride phase. READ MORE

Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; acoustics; tyre-road noise; tyre; air cavity resonances; interior noise; aluminium foams; Acoustics; Akustik;
Abstract :
The tonal character of the low frequency internal noise in cars is often due to energy transmission through the tyre at the first few eigenfrequencies of the air cavity of the tyre. The first acoustic mode in the air cavity of a typical stationary car tyre is approximately 224 Hz. READ MORE

Abstract :
Silicon nanowires (SiNW) are in the spotlight for a few years in the research community as a good candidate for biosensing applications. This is attributed to their small dimensions in nanometer scale that offers high sensitivity, label-free detection and at the same time utilizing small amount of sample. READ MORE

Keywords : molten carbonate fuel cell MCHC ; corrosion; current collecotr; contact corrosion reistance;
Abstract :
The corrosion of current collector materials in MoltenCarbonate Fuel Cells (MCFC) is investigated. The essential aimsof this investigation were to study the corrosion behaviour ofdifferent materials, in varying cathode and anode MCFCenvironments, and to study the contact corrosion resistancesbetween the MCFC current collector and electrodes.
