  1. 6. Thermoelectric Measurements for Temperature Control of Robotic Friction Stir Welding

    Author : Ana Catarina Ferreira Magalhães; Gunnar Bolmsjö; Jeroen De Backer; Jean Pierre Bergmann; Högskolan Väst; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Friction stir welding; Aluminium; Temperature measurements; Process control; Robotics; Geometrically complex components; Friktionsomrörningssvetsning; Aluminium; temperaturmätning; Processstyrning; Robotik; Geometriskt komplexa komponenter; Production Technology; Produktionsteknik; Manufacturing and materials engineering; Produktions- och materialteknik;

    Abstract : Friction stir welding (FSW) has undergone a rapid expansion in several industrial sectors such as in the aerospace, marine, railway and automotive sectors. Current industrial applications are mainly simple long straight welds, but there is a growth of interest in components with higher geometric complexity. READ MORE

  2. 7. Chemical reactions in aluminium electrolytic capacitors

    Author : Ildiko Szaraz; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Chemistry of Interfaces; Gränsytors kemi;

    Abstract : Aluminium electrolytic capacitors are used in a wide variety of different applications. The aluminium electrolytic capacitor consists of two aluminium foils wound together and separated by special paper, which is impregnated with an electrolyte. READ MORE

  3. 8. Improved Adhesion Between Ethylene Polymers and Aluminium

    Author : Anders Strålin; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : Adhesion between aluminium and polymers is important in a wide variety of applications. The aim of the present work was to improve adhesion in polyethylene- aluminium laminates by surface modification of aluminium. The treatments examined were hydration in boiling water and phosphatation by immersion in dilute phosphoric acid solutions. READ MORE

  4. 9. Patch testing with palladium and aluminium, epidemiological and experimental studies

    Author : Lisbeth Rosholm Comstedt; Yrkes- och miljödermatologi; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Contact allergy to palladium; prevalence of metal allergy; patch testing with palladium; natrium tetrachloropalladate; palladium chloride; Finn Chamber; patch testing with aluminium; isolated palladium allergy; patch test system; adjuvants in patch testing; delayed hypersensitivty reaction;

    Abstract : AbstractThe aim of this thesis was to investigate the prevalence and significance of contact allergy to palladium from a Swedish perspective. Our initial findings made it necessary to also explore the importance of the metal aluminium used in test chamber systems and the effect of aluminium chloride (Al-Cl) in patch test preparations. 5. 10. Tribological Aspects of Pneumatic Clutch Actuators

    Author : Frida Riddar; Åsa Kassman Rudolphi; Roland Larsson; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Wear; friction; PTFE transfer; anodised aluminium; NBR rubber lip seal; silicone grease; casting; extrusion; Teknisk fysik med inriktning mot tribomaterial; Engineering Science with specialization in Tribo Materials;

    Abstract : A clutch actuator is used in a vehicle to transmit movement and force from the clutch pedal to the release bearing of the clutch. A pneumatic clutch actuator consists of an anodised aluminium cylinder, inside of which a piston, with a rubber lip seal and a PTFE guiding ring, slides. The system is lubricated with silicone grease before assembly. READ MORE
