  1. 1. Functional and Flexible Light-Emitting Electrochemical Cells

    Author : Amir Asadpoordarvish; Ludvig Edman; Jun Gao; Umeå universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; all-ambient fabrication; ambient-air lifetime; encapsulation; flexible; light-emitting electrochemical cells; light-emitting paper; fysik; Physics;

    Abstract : The introduction of artificial illumination has brought extensive benefits to mankind, and during the last years we have seen a tremendous progress in this field with the introduction of the energy-efficient light-emitting diode (LED) and the high-contrast organic LED display. These high-end technologies are, however, produced using costly and complex processes, and it is anticipated that the next big thing in the field will be the advent of a low-cost and “green” illumination technology, which can be fabricated in a cost- and material-efficient manner using non-toxic and abundant raw materials, and which features attractive form factors such as flexibility, robustness and light-weight. 2. 2. Alkali-containing aerosol particles-release during biomass combustion and ambient air concentrations

    Author : Borka Kovacevik; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; aerosol; alkali metal; sodium; potassium; pyrolysis; combustion; biomass burning.;

    Abstract : Air pollution in the form of particles has considerable influence on human health and climate. Atmospheric aerosol particles arise from direct emissions of particles and from the conversion of certain gases to particles in the atmosphere. READ MORE

  3. 3. Morphology and material stability in polymer solar cells

    Author : Rickard Hansson; Ellen Moons; Andreas Opitz; Mats Fahlman; Karlstads universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; polymer solar cell; photovoltaics; morphology; photo-degradation; conjugated polymer; fullerene; synchroton-based techniques; Physics; Fysik;

    Abstract : Polymer solar cells are promising in that they are inexpensive to produce, and due to their mechanical flexibility have the potential for use in applications not possible for more traditional types of solar cells. The performance of polymer solar cells depends strongly on the distribution of electron donor and acceptor material in the active layer. READ MORE

  4. 4. Design and Fabrication of Light-Emitting Electrochemical Cells

    Author : Andreas Sandström; Ludvig Edman; Ronald Österbacka; Umeå universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Light-emitting electrochemical cell; fabrication; organic semiconductors; organic electronics; ambient fabrication; roll-to-roll; fysik; Physics;

    Abstract : Glödlampan, en gång symbolen för mänsklig uppfinningsförmåga, är idag på väg att försvinna. Lysdioder och lågenergilampor har istället tagit över då dessa har betydligt längre livstid och högre effektivitet. READ MORE

  5. 5. Ni-based coatings for high temperature corrosion protection

    Author : Esmaeil Sadeghimeresht; Shrikant V. Joshi; Nicolaie Markocsan; Petri Vuoristo; Högskolan Väst; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Thermal Spray Coating; HVAF; High Temperature Corrosion Protection; Composition; Microstructure; Dispersed Oxide; Production Technology; Produktionsteknik; Manufacturing and materials engineering; Produktions- och materialteknik;

    Abstract : Biomass/waste-fired boilers severely suffer from high temperature corrosion of critical load-bearing components, e.g. water-wall and superheater tubes, due to presence of Cl-containing corrosive species. READ MORE
