    Keywords : NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Ambient Intelligence; Human-Computer Interaction; Context-Aware computing; Ubiquitous Computing; Mixed-Reality; Smart Environments; Activity-Based Computing; Ambient Ecology; business data processing; administrativ databehandling;

    Abstract : Ambient intelligence refers to the vision of computationally augmented everyday environments that are sensitive, adaptive and responsive to humans and intelligently support their daily lives. Ambient ecologies are the infrastructures of ambient intelligence. READ MORE

  2. 2. Analyses and Application of Ambient Seismic Noise in Sweden : Source, Interferometry, Tomography

    Author : Hamzeh Sadeghisorkhani; Ólafur Gudmundsson; Ari Tryggvason; Roland Roberts; Frederik Tilmann; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Seismic interferometry; Ambient noise; Surface wave; Wave propagation; Inverse theory; Sweden; Geofysik med inriktning mot seismologi; Geophysics with specialization in Seismology;

    Abstract : Ambient seismic noise from generation to its application for determination of sub-surface velocity structures is analyzed using continuous data recordings from the Swedish National Seismic Network (SNSN). The fundamental aim of the thesis is to investigate the applicability of precise velocity measurements from ambient noise data. READ MORE

  3. 3. Collaborating with Gertrude Stein : Media ecologies, reception, poetics

    Author : Solveig Daugaard; Tania Ørum; Carin Franzén; Jesper Olsson; Logan Esdale; Linköpings universitet; []

    Abstract : The reception of the American avant-garde poet, playwright, art collector and salon hostess Gertrude Stein (1874-1946) has to a wide extent taken place in an aesthetic context prior to her work’s academic and hermeneutic canonization. This thesis is in part a mapping of this transmedia reception as it is played out in a North American context in the period from her death and until today, and in part an account of Stein’s particular collaborative poetics, through which her work invites such a reception. Abstract : Mass spectrometry (MS) is used in several fields, e.g. biology, environmental monitoring, medicine and forensics due to excellent qualitative and quantitative capabilities. The development of new instrumental setups and ionization sources is crucial to analyze a variety of compounds at trace levels. READ MORE

  5. 5. Experimental Studies on Ambient Aerosol Hygroscopicity

    Author : Erik Fors; Kärnfysik; []

    Abstract : The air around us is full of aerosol particles which originate from a myriad of sources and which have vastly different chemical and physical properties. These particles span size ranges from 1 nm to 100 μm, equivalent to a factor 100 000 in diameter difference and a factor 10^15 in volume difference. READ MORE
