  1. 1. Chiral Separation of Amines by Non-Aqueous Capillary Electrophoresis using Low Molecular Weight Selectors

    Author : Ylva Hedeland; Curt Pettersson; Ulf Bondesson; Lars Blomberg; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Pharmaceutical chemistry; Chiral Separation; Non-Aqueous Capillary Electrophoresis; Enantioresolution; Electro-osmotic Flow; Pharmaceuticals; Enantiomeric Amines; Low Molecular Weight Selector; Farmaceutisk kemi; Kemi med inriktning mot analytisk kemi; Chemistry with specialization in Analytical Chemistry; Analytical Pharmaceutical Chemistry; Analytisk farmaceutisk kemi;

    Abstract : Three chiral selectors (diketogulonic acid, benzoxycarbonylglycylproline and ketopinic acid) have been introduced for enantioseparation of pharmacologically active amines in non-aqueous capillary electrophoresis. The use of organic solvents, instead of aqueous buffers in the background electrolyte facilitated ion-pair formation between the analytes and the chiral selectors. READ MORE

  2. 2. Microextraction by packed sorbent of drugs and peptides in biological fluids

    Author : Seyed Mosayeb Daryanavard; Mohamed Abdel-Rehim; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; MEPS; Local anaesthetics drugs; Peptides; Analytical Chemistry; analytisk kemi; analytisk farmaceutisk kemi; Analytical Pharmaceutical Chemistry;

    Abstract : Sample preparation as the first step in an analytical procedure has an important role, particularly in bioanalysis, because of the complexity of biological samples (blood plasma and urine). Biological matrix such as plasma and blood contains proteins, organic and inorganic salts, acids, bases and various organic compounds with similar chemistry to the analytes of interest. READ MORE

  3. 3. Capillary electrophoresis mass spectrometry applied to structural proteomics and small molecule analysis

    Author : Jordan Aerts; Erik T. Jansson; Per E. Andrén; Petr Man; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Capillary Electrophoresis Mass Spectrometry; Hydrogen Deuterium Exchange Mass Spectrometry; Enantioselective Separations; Drugs of Abuse; Analytical Chemistry; Analytisk kemi; Analytisk farmaceutisk kemi; Analytical Pharmaceutical Chemistry; Kemi med inriktning mot analytisk kemi; Chemistry with specialization in Analytical Chemistry; Biology with specialization in Structural Biology; Biologi med inriktning mot strukturbiologi;

    Abstract : Capillary electrophoresis with mass spectrometric (CE–MS) detection offers a separation method without equal in terms of flexibility, utility, and cost efficiency. Here we demonstrate precisely this through the application of several laboratory-built CE–MS instruments for the separation of brain metabolites in non-primates, enantioselective separations of synthetic anesthetic metabolites in fractionated pony urine, application in structural proteomics workflows, and identification of exogenous alkaloid biotransformationproducts in human cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). 4. 4. Analytical Quality by Design Method Development for Vaccine Characterization

    Author : Lars Geurink; Catharina Sänger van de Griend; Mikael Hedeland; Martijn Schenning; Iulia Oita; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; viral vaccines; adenovirus; influenza; polio; COVID; corona; capillary electrophoresis; analytical quality by design; analytical method development; CGE; icIEF; CZE; crude cell suspension analysis; in-process sample analysis; quality control testing; biopharmaceutical characterization; Analytisk farmaceutisk kemi; Analytical Pharmaceutical Chemistry;

    Abstract : Vaccines that are safe, efficacious, and can be rapidly developed are needed to prevent and to react to emerging global infectious disease threats such as influenza, Polio, and Coronavirus diseases. Fast and reliable analytical methods are required without delay to support vaccine process and product development, characterization, and quality control testing. READ MORE

  5. 5. Metabolite Profiling of Drugs using Mass Spectrometry : Identification of analytical targets for doping control and improvements of the metabolite search process

    Author : Malin Nilsson Broberg; Mikael Hedeland; Ulf Bondesson; Curt Pettersson; Börje Tidstedt; Peter Van Eenoo; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Mass spectrometry; UHPLC-HRMS; Doping control; Metabolite profile; SARM; Selective Androgen Receptor Modulator; MVDA; Microsomes; Experimental design; Analytisk farmaceutisk kemi; Analytical Pharmaceutical Chemistry;

    Abstract : Doping is defined as the use of prohibited substances or methods by the World Anti-Doping Agency and the aim with doping control analysis is to detect the use of these illicit substances or methods. Substances that are prohibited in human or equine sports have either a positive or negative impact on the performance. READ MORE
