1. Development of a new service-oriented modelling method for information systems analysis and design
Abstract : This thesis presents a new modelling method for information systems analysis and design, where the concept of service and the principles of service orientation are used for integrated modelling and reasoning about information systems architectures across organisational and technical systems boundaries. The concept of service enables cohesion of the intersubjective and objective modelling traditions by using a single type of diagram that facilitates detection of semantic inconsistency, incompleteness, ambiguity and discontinuity between the static and dynamic aspects of information systems specifications. 3. Dynamic Modelling and Simulation of Liquid Food Process Lines
Abstract : In the present work a dynamic model library of components for process lines was developed. The analysis addressed characteristic aspects of liquid food process lines, and new models were developed for fluid transitions, dispersion, mixing zones and first-order chemical reactions in pipes and heat exchangers. 4. Improving software traceability tools and processes
Abstract : Context: Development of large and complex software leads to a large number of interconnected artifacts such as requirements, design models, code and implementation. Traceability enables understanding and managing these artifacts as they evolve. However, establishing traceability is not trivial. READ MORE

5. Calibration Procedure and Industrial Applications of Coherence Scanning Interferometer
Abstract : Countless industrial applications over the past decades have indicated the increased need to relate surface texture to surface function. Measurement and characterization of the areal nature of the surface allows the manufacturer to alter how the surface interacts with surroundings. READ MORE
