16. NMR STUDIES ON STRUCTURE AND DYNAMICS OF TWO-DOMAIN PROTEINS
Abstract : The general objective of the present thesis work was to examine 3-dimensional structure as well as the motional properties of two different types of two-domain proteins by solution-state NMR. One of the major tasks of this thesis work was to investigate the domain orientation of these molecules by employing residual dipolar couplings (RDC) which can be used as orientational restraints for increasing the accuracy of protein structures determined by NMR. 17. Functional importance of estrogen receptors in the periodontium
READ MORE

18. Studies on signaling pathways induced by FLT3, an important oncogene in AML
Abstract : FLT3, a receptor tyrosine kinase, is expressed in hematopoietic progenitor cells. FLT3-ITD (internal tandem duplication) and D835 mutations are found in approximately 30% and 7% of Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) patients respectively, and correlate with a poor prognosis, thus making the mutated receptor a potential therapeutic target. 19. Electron Transport in Semiconductor Nanowires
Abstract : In this thesis, semiconductor nanowires are studied from the point of view of growth and electrical properties. The growth of nanowires is done by chemical beam epitaxy (CBE), an ultra-high vacuum technique allowing a precise control of precursor deposition and low growth rates. READ MORE

20. A study of asymptotically hyperbolic manifolds in mathematical relativity
Abstract : This thesis consists of ve papers where certain problems arising in mathematical relativity are studied in the context of asymptotically hyperbolic manifolds. In Paper A we deal with constant mean curvature solutions of the Einstein-scalar field constraint equations on asymptotically hyperbolic manifolds.
