  1. 1. Antibody dependent cellular cytotoxicity in man : characterization of effector lymphocytes at the single cell level

    Author : Birgitta Wåhlin; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : .... READ MORE

  2. 2. Antibody-based Cancer Immunotherapy : Personalization, response prediction and safety considerations

    Author : Mohamed Eltahir; Sara Mangsbo; Patrick Micke; Gustav Ullenhag; Marit Inderberg; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : Antibody-based therapeutics have remarkably improved the field of immuno-oncology. Multiple monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) are approved for clinical use, and numerous antibodies are under clinical development. The scope of this thesis is to study the personalization of antibody-based immunotherapeutics and tools to predict their efficacy and safety. READ MORE

  3. 3. Virus mediated induction of antibody independent cytotoxicity (VDCC) and enhancement of antibody dependent cytotoxicity (ADCC) in human lymphocytes in vitro

    Author : Abdul-Razzak Alsheikhly; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES;

    Abstract : Addition in vitro of small amounts of paramyxoviruses (Mumps or Sendai) to lymphocytes from healthy human donors induces a strong and non-selective cytotoxicity against a variety of target cells (VDCC, virus dependent cellular cytotoxicity). VDCC-like reactions are believed to play a role in vivo in the defense against virus infection and/or the causation of the tissue lesions associated with virus disease. READ MORE

  4. 4. Triggering and mechanisms of natural killer cell mediated cytotoxicity

    Author : Yenan Bryceson; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Keywords : Natural killer cells; antibody dependent cellular cytotoxicity; natural cytotoxicity; immunodeficiency; hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis;

    Abstract : Natural killer (NK) cells are innate immune cells that contribute to defense against infected and transformed cells by target cell killing and cytokine release. In addition, data suggest that NK cells contribute to immune homeostasis and reproduction. READ MORE

  5. 5. Genetic, cellular and clinical studies of hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis

    Author : Marie Meeths; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : Hemophagocytic lymphohistocytosis (HLH) is a life-threatening hyperinflammatory condition characterized by fever, cytopenia, hepatosplenomegaly, and sometimes hemophagocytosis. HLH is typically divided into two distinct groups, primary HLH and secondary HLH. READ MORE
