1. Modeling receptor induced signaling in MSNs : Interaction between molecules involved in striatal synaptic plasticity
Abstract : Basal Ganglia are evolutionarily conserved brain nuclei involved in several physiologically important animal behaviors like motor control and reward learning. Striatum, which is the input nuclei of basal ganglia, integrates inputs from several neurons, like cortical and thalamic glutamatergic input and local GABAergic inputs. READ MORE

2. Modeling Biochemical Network Involved in Striatal Dopamine Signaling
Abstract : In this thesis, I studied the molecular integration of reward-learning related neuromodulatory inputs by striatal medium-sized projection neurons (MSNs) using mass-action kinetic modeling. It is known that, in reward learning, an unexpected reward results in transient elevation in dopamine (peak) whereas omission of an expected reward leads to transient dopamine decrease (dip). 3. Integrationens arenor : En studie av flyktingmottagande, arbete, boende, förenings- och församlingsliv i tre kommuner : [a study of refugee policy, employment, housing, and social and community affiliations in three Swedish municipalities]
Abstract : This dissertation is a comparative study of three Swedish localities: Sollentuna, Katrineholm, and Lycksele. The overall aim of the study is to explore variations in local outcomes regarding the integration of immigrants in these three Swedish municipalities. READ MORE

4. Ancillary actor relations : The case of EU’s leading defence primes
Abstract : This longitudinal research project in industrial marketing seeks to understand ancillary actors, specifically what they are, their characteristics, relations and impact on focal relations based on the empirical case of the cross-border relations of EU’s largest defence equipment producing firms (called “primes”). Ancillary actors are approached on four arenas: i) the political setting for EU defence equipment production, ii) the “primes” business relations, e. READ MORE

5. Transnational Party Alliances : Analysing the Hard-Won Alliance Between Conservatives and Christian Democrats in the European Parliament
Abstract : This study examines processes of transnational alliance-building among political parties in the European Union (EU). It is associated with theories of transnational relations, neofunctionalist integration theory and domestic politics approaches to international co-operation and integration. READ MORE
