1. Aesthetics of being together
Abstract : Design deals with matters of aesthetics. Historically, aesthetics in industrial design refers to the designed artifact: aesthetics of objects. When designed artifacts include digital technologies, aesthetics in design refers to what happens between people and artifacts as well: aesthetics of interaction. READ MORE

2. E-Government Service Evaluation in Rwanda : A Design Perspective
Abstract : Rwanda has embraced e-government. As the first step of implementation, services are being developed and provided online. READ MORE

3. Architectural prototypes : modes of design development and architectural practice
Abstract : This licentiate thesis is design driven, partly based on case studies in the form of experimental design projects developed mainly within the research and design collective Krets. It constitutes the first half of a PhD project that studies new technologies and techniques within design processes and the production of architecture, especially in relation to collaborative models. 4. Fundamentals of a Methodology for Predictive Design Analysis
Abstract : The rapid development of computer-based design analysis tools and methods such as the finite element method (FEM) within computational structural mechanics (CSM), computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and multi-body systems (MBS) during recent decades has fundamentally changed the way in which products are designed and developed. Among the many advantages observed in industrial practice, one can mention improved understanding of product properties and behavior, the possibility to optimize critical design parameters and to optimize parts as well as the entire product at a system level, the possibility to explore a design space during the synthesis activity, and a decrease of the need for physical testing and thus of the number of physical prototypes needed. 5. Designing for Autonomy
Abstract : In this thesis, two problems are addressed. The first problem is how designers of computerized artifacts come to understand what they should design. READ MORE
