  1. 1. Evolutionary Humanoids for Embodied Artificial Intelligence

    Author : Krister Wolff; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; linear genetic programming; bipedal locomotion; humanoid robotics; evolutionary algorithms;

    Abstract : The work presented in this thesis aims at investigating the potential of a proposed methodology to create a cognitive control architecture for a humanoid robot. This architecture comprises three hierarchical layers: the reactive layer, the model building layer, and the reasoning layer. READ MORE

    Abstract : Far more than products or services, words are the most fundamental element in the exchanges between sellers and buyers. Understanding the words that constitute the text that is created when sellers and buyers interact with each other is therefore critical for marketing decision makers. READ MORE

  3. 3. Artificial Intelligence for Monitoring and Diagnosis of Robotic Spacecraft

    Author : David John Atkinson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; robot plan execution; NASA; ; software systems; artificial intelligence algorithms;

    Abstract : In this thesis the application of artificial intelligence to monitoring and diagnosis of robotic spacecraft is discussed. Several software prototype systems were developed to serve as testbeds for the research and to evaluate the effectiveness of the approach against real problems and current techniques used in NASA's planetary exploration program. 4. 4. Artificial Intelligence for Non-Contact-Based Driver Health Monitoring

    Author : Hamidur Rahman; Mobyen Uddin Ahmed; Shahina Begum; Peter Funk; Hasan Fleyeh; Mälardalens högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Driver Monitoring; Artificial Intelligence; Machine Learning; Deep Learning; Computer Science; datavetenskap;

    Abstract : In clinical situations, a patient’s physical state is often monitored by sensors attached to the patient, and medical staff are alerted if the patient’s status changes in an undesirable or life-threatening direction. However, in unsupervised situations, such as when driving a vehicle, connecting sensors to the driver is often troublesome and wired sensors may not produce sufficient quality due to factors such as movement and electrical disturbance.
