  1. 16. On the structure and mechanical properties of in vitro salivary pellicles

    Author : Hannah Boyd; Javier Sotres; Thomas Arnebrant; Rob Barker; Mark Rutland; Malmö universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES;

    Abstract : Salivary pellicles display exceptional hydration and lubrication performance. At present, there are still gaps in the understanding of how this is achieved. READ MORE

  2. 17. Reactive Navigation Methods for Autonomous Robots: Safety, Coordination, and Field Deployment

    Author : Björn Lindqvist; George Nikolakopoulos; Christoforos Kanellakis; Alberto Bemporad; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Field Robotics; NMPC; Obstacle Avoidance; Collision Avoidance; Multi-agent Systems; Robot Navigation; Robotics and Artificial Intelligence; Robotik och artificiell intelligens;

    Abstract : In the new era of intelligent systems, small-scale electronics, and advanced sensors, the application use-cases and operational capabilities of autonomous robots are exponentially increasing. Through their ability to execute complex tasks while relying only on onboard sensors and computation, autonomous field robots are showing promising results in inspection of infrastructure, search-and-rescue or surveillance, maintenance tasks, or in general operations in areas that prove to be dangerous or hazardous for human operators to enter, while also often increasing the efficiency of such tasks.     Keywords : SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : Artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly introduced into many systems that modern society rely on and is often portrayed as a savior that can contribute to finding solutions to societal challenges e.g., social, and ecological sustainability. READ MORE

  4. 19. Magnetron Sputter Epitaxy of CrB2/TiB2 Diboride Superlattice Thin Films

    Author : Samira Dorri; Jens Birch; Vassilios Kapaklis; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Abstract : Artificial superlattices with their exceptional properties have been popular in a broad range of applications such as electronic, magnetic, optical, and hard coating. Another potential application for single crystal artificial superlattices is highly efficient interference neutron optics, owing to an ultimate interface width of just ±½ atomic layer. READ MORE
