11. Formation and degradation of PCDD/F in waste incineration ashes
Abstract : The disposal of combustible wastes by incineration is a controversial issue that is strongly debated by both scientists and environmental activists due to the resulting emissions of noxious compounds, including (inter alia) polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins (PCDDs), dibenzofurans (PCDFs), heavy metals and acid gases like sulfur dioxide. Currently available air pollution control devices are capable of effectively cleaning flue gases, and PCDD/F emissions to air from modern municipal solid waste (MSW) incinerators are low. READ MORE

13. The Survey of Ash Agglomeration Phenomena in a Commercial Circulating Fluidised Bed (CFB)
Abstract : Renewable energy sources will act an important roll in the development of sustainability in the future in order to protect environment and ecological cycle.Amongst the Kyoto protocol conclusions there is an agreements for the EU a reduction of 8 % of greenhouse gas emissions (corresponding of around 6 million tonnes of CO2 equivalents ) between 2008-2012 (compared to 1990 level). 14. Greenhouse gas fluxes between drained forested peatlands and the atmosphere - influence of nutrient status and wood ash fertilization
Abstract : The management of peatlands for wood production involves drainage and, sometimes, fertilization with, for example, wood ash. The effects of these measures on greenhouse gas fluxes, in relation to the ... READ MORE

15. Automated Manufacture of Fertilizing Agglomerates from Burnt Wood Ash
Abstract : In Sweden, extensive research is conducted to find alternative sources of energy that should partly replace the electric power production from nuclear power. With the ambition to create a sustainable system for producing energy, the use of renewable energy is expected to grow further and biofuels are expected to account for a significant part of this increase.
