  1. 1. On Hom-associative Ore Extensions

    Author : Per Bäck; Sergei Silvestrov; Johan Richter; Lars Hellström; Anatoliy Malyarenko; Joakim Arnlind; Mälardalens universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Mathematics Applied Mathematics; matematik tillämpad matematik;

    Abstract : In this thesis, we introduce and study hom-associative Ore extensions. These are non-unital, non-associative, non-commutative polynomial rings in which the associativity condition is “twisted” by an additive group homomorphism. READ MORE

  2. 2. Ext-algebras of standard modules over quasi-hereditary algebras

    Author : Markus Thuresson; Julian Külshammer; Pierre-Guy Plamondon; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Mathematics; Matematik;

    Abstract : This thesis concerns the representation theory of a particular class of finite-dimensional algebras, called quasi-hereditary algebras. In particular, it considers two subclasses of quasi-hereditary algebras: dual extension algebras and hereditary algebras. It consists of three papers. READ MORE

  3. 3. Centra of Quiver Algebras

    Author : Elin Gawell; Christian Gottlieb; Qimh Xantcha; Jan Snellman; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; quiver; algebra; commutativity ideal; anti-commutativity ideal; non-commutative; partly commutative; partly anti-commutative; center; Koszul algebra; finitely generated; graded center; Hochschild cohomology; support variety; associative algebra; Mathematics; matematik;

    Abstract : A partly (anti-)commutative quiver algebra is a quiver algebra bound by an (anti-)commutativity ideal, that is, a quadratic ideal generated by monomials and (anti-)commutativity relations. We give a combinatorial description of the ideals and the associated generator graphs, from which one can quickly determine if the ideal is admissible or not. READ MORE

  4. 4. Noncommutative Riemannian Geometry of Twisted Derivations

    Author : Kwalombota Ilwale; Joakim Arnlind; Sergei Silvestrov; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : A twisted derivation is a generalized derivative satisfying a twisted version of the ordinary Leibniz rule for products. In particular, a (σ, τ )-derivation on an algebra A, is a derivation where Leibniz rule is twisted by two endomorphisms σ and τ on A. READ MORE

  5. 5. Problems in the Classification Theory of Non-Associative Simple Algebras

    Author : Erik Darpö; Ernst Dieterich; Karl-Heinz Fieseler; William Crawley-Boevey; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Division algebra; flexible algebra; normal form; composition algebra; absolute valued algebra; vector product; rotation.; MATHEMATICS; MATEMATIK;

    Abstract : In spite of its 150 years history, the problem of classifying all finite-dimensional division algebras over a field k is still unsolved whenever k is not algebraically closed. The present thesis concerns some different aspects of this problem, and the related problems of classifying all composition and absolute valued algebras. READ MORE
