  1. 1. Astatine-211 and Iodine Conjugates: Radiohalogenation and Preclinical Pharmacokinetics for Targeted and Pretargeted Radioimmunotherapy

    Author : Sture Lindegren; [2002]
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; radioimmunotherapy; antibodies; dry-distillation; radiohalogenation; pretargeting; iodine; astatine-211;

    Abstract : Endoradiotherapy using labelled tumour specific-monoclonal antibodies in the therapy of malignant disease is a therapeutic modality that is coming of age. While clearly defined tumours can be treated with surgery and/or chemotherapy, occult metastases requires adjuvant systemic treatment, e.g. READ MORE

  2. 2. Radioimmunotherapy of experimental ovarian cancer with Astatine-211. An in vivo model for consolidation treatment in women

    University dissertation from Göteborg

    Author : Håkan Andersson; Göteborgs universitet.; Gothenburg University.; [2000]
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Astatine-211; consolidating treatment; in vitro effects; monoclonal antaibodies; Mov18; ovarian cancer; radioimmunotherapy;

    Abstract : About 850 new cases of ovarian cancer are diagnosed in Sweden every year. In 75 % of the patients the tumour has spread outside the ovaries. The standard treatment is surgery followed by six courses of combination chemotherapy. In spite of a very high frequency of clinical complete responses the 5-year survival is not satisfactory. 3. 3. Radioimmunotherapy of Metastatic Disease - Studies of Alpha- and Beta-particle-Emitting Radionuclides in a Preclinical Model

    University dissertation from Lund University: Faculty of Medicine

    Author : Sophie Eriksson; [2013]

    Abstract : In radioimmunotherapy, monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) are used as a targeting agent carrying a toxic payload consisting of radionuclides. This treatment allows the irradiation of small lesions, even on the microscopic level. In the present work, two radionuclides with different properties were used. READ MORE

  4. 4. Pharmacokinetics and dosimetry in intraperitoneal radioimmunotherapy with 211At

    University dissertation from Göteborg : University of Gothenburg

    Author : Elin Cederkrantz; Göteborgs universitet.; Gothenburg University.; [2014]

    Abstract : The prognosis for patients diagnosed with disseminated cancer is often poor. Radioimmunotherapy (RIT) is a new approach to treat disseminated disease. The aim is to target tumor cells with monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) labeled with radionuclides which release cytotoxic particle radiation upon decay. The radionuclide 211At, with half-life 7.
