1. Effects of Motion Sickness on Human Thermoregulatory Mechanisms
Abstract : The presented studies were performed to investigate the effects of motion sickness (MS) on human autonomic and behavioural thermoregulatory mechanisms during cold stress and in a thermoneutral environment. The roles of histaminergic and cholinergic neuron systems in autonomic thermoregulation and MS-dependent dysfunction of autonomic thermoregulation were studied using a histamine-receptor blocker, dimenhydrinate (DMH), and a muscarine-receptor blocker, scopolamine (Scop). 2. Neuronal types and their specification dynamics in the autonomic nervous system
Abstract : The autonomic nervous system is formed by a sympathetic and a parasympathetic division that have complementary roles in the maintenance of body homeostasis. Autonomic neurons, also known as visceral motor neurons, are tonically active and innervate virtually every organ in our body. READ MORE

3. Anatomical studies of the dopamine system in the hypothalamus and the pituitary gland
Abstract : The hypothalamus is a small, evolutionarily conserved brain region, necessary for our survival as individuals and as a species. It collects various sensory inputs, process them to maintain homeostasis and to overcome stressors, and generates outputs that affect the autonomic nervous system, the endocrine system and somatomotor behaviors.
