1. Analysis of enterprise IT service availability : Enterprise architecture modeling for assessment, prediction, and decision-making
Abstract : Information technology has become increasingly important to individuals and organizations alike. Not only does IT allow us to do what we always did faster and more effectively, but it also allows us to do new things, organize ourselves differently, and work in ways previously unimaginable. 2. Mobile Satellite Broadcast and Multichannel Communications : analysis and design
Abstract : In this thesis, analytical analysis and design techniques for wireless communications with diversity are studied. The impact of impairments such as correlated fading is analyzed using statistical models. Countermeasures designed to overcome, or even exploit, such effects are proposed and examined. READ MORE

3. Milk Folates: Characterisation and Availability
Abstract : With the ultimate goal to study milk folate bioavailability, a reverse-phase HPLC technique was developed and compared with a radioprotein binding assay. All methods showed similar ranges for folates in cow’s milk, with the variation attributed to seasonal variations and the use of different starter cultures. READ MORE

4. Characterization of PAH-contaminated soils focusing on availability, chemical composition and biological effects
Abstract : The risks associated with a soil contaminated by polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) are generally assessed by measuring individual PAHs in the soil and correlating the obtained amounts to known adverse biological effects of the PAHs. The validity of such a risk estimation is dependent on the presence of additional compounds, the availability of the compounds (including the PAHs), and the methods used to correlate the measured chemical data and biological effects. 5. Enterprise Architecture for Information System Analysis : Modeling and assessing data accuracy, availability, performance and application usage
Abstract : Decisions concerning IT systems are often made without adequate decision-support. This has led to unnecessary IT costs and failures to realize business benefits. The present thesis presents a framework for analysis of four information systems properties relevant to IT decision-making. READ MORE
