1. Bayesian Modeling of Directional Data with Acoustic and Other Applications
Abstract : A direction is defined here as a multi-dimensional unit vector. Such unitvectors form directional data. Closely related to directional data are axialdata for which each direction is equivalent to the opposite direction.Directional data and axial data arise in various fields of science. READ MORE

2. Measurements of Film Flow Rate in Heated Tubes with Various Axial Power Distributions
Abstract : Measurements of film mass flow rate for annular, diabatic steam-water flow in tubes are presented. The measurements were carried out with four axial power distributions and at several axial positions at conditions typical for boiling water reactors, i.e. 7 MPa pressure and total mass flux in a range from 750 to 1750 kg/m2s. 3. Theory and Applications of Tri-Axial Electromagnetic Field Measurements
Abstract : Polarisation, which was first studied in optics, is a fundamental property of all electromagnetic fields. A convenient way to describe the polarisation of two dimensional electromagnetic fields is given by the Stokes parameters. This thesis deals with different aspects of wave polarisation and electromagnetic field measurements. READ MORE

4. Experimental and numerical investigations of underhood flow for vehicle thermal management
Abstract : Electrified vehicles are an essential part in reducing emissions from the transportation sector. Their development comes with a variety of new challenges. Most of them revolve around the energy efficiency of the vehicles as it directly relates to the range that can be covered with one charge. READ MORE

5. On the Origin and Distributions of the Inclusions in Production-scale ESR and PESR Remelted Ingots and Materials from Different Ingot Sizes and Solidification Structures
Abstract : The study was carried out with the aim to evaluate the origin, morphology, and distribution of the non-metallic inclusions (NMI) in electro-slag remelted (ESR) steels and in electro-slag remelted steels using a pressured controlled inert atmosphere (PESR). In addition to the NMI studies, the solidification structure in different ingot sizes were studied in order to define the influence of the solidification on the NMI characteristics. READ MORE
