1. Process-induced disorder of pharmaceutical materials : Mechanisms and quantification of disorder
Abstract : One of the most important prerequisites in the drug development is to attain a reproducible and robust product in terms of its nature, and its chemical and physical properties. This can be challenging, since the crystalline form of drugs and excipients can be directly transformed into the amorphous one during normal pharmaceutical processing, referred to as process-induced amorphisation or process-induced disorder. 2. Mechanical activation of clay : a novel route to sustainable cementitious binders
Abstract : EU Sustainable Development Strategy planned to achieve improvement of life-quality by promoting sustainable production and consumption of raw materials. On November 2018, EU Commission presented a long-term strategy, aiming among others a climate-neutral economy by 2050. Cement production is contributing to 6-10% of the anthropogenic CO2 emissions. 3. Revalorization of poorly reactive sources by mechanochemical activation : An alternative approach for sustainable cementitious binders
Abstract : The latest report from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change made once again clear the urge to take immediate actions to reduce the emissions of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases. Among the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Nr. READ MORE

4. Non-contact measurements and modelling of milling machine tool vibrations
Abstract : This thesis concerns the development of non-contact measurement methods and analysis of rotors. The methods have been verified and applied to milling machine spindles in order to investigate the speed dependency in the milling machine spindle dynamic. The research was financed by the Swedish Agency for Innovation Systems (Vinnova). READ MORE

5. Novel Technique to Improve High-Velocity Cold Compaction : Processing of Polymer Powders and Polymer-Based Nanocomposite High Performance Components
Abstract : Compaction of polymer powders and polymer-based nanocomposites by uniaxial high-velocity cold compaction (HVC), by high-energy ball milling (HEBM) and using a novel technique, relaxation assists, was investigated with a focus on the process parameters, the compactibility characteristics, surface morphology and friction. The basic phenomena associated with HVC are explained and the general energy principle is introduced to explain the pull-out phenomenon, springback gradient, delay time, relative time of the pressure wave, and stick-slip phenomenon during the compaction process.
