  1. 1. Aromatic Allylation via Diazotization; Application in synthesis of heterocyclic compounds

    Author : Fredrik Ek; Centrum för analys och syntes; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Bengamide analogue.; parallel synthesis; trimethylsilyl azide; cycloaddition; imidazole; fused tetrazole derivatives; iodocyclization; benzazepine; tert-butyl nitrite; allylic bromide; aromatic allylation; diazotization; Organic chemistry; Organisk kemi;

    Abstract : A new method for allylation of aromatic systems has been developed. A number of arylamines were converted via diazotization to the corresponding allylaromatic compounds using tert-butyl nitrite and an excess of allylic bromides with complete regioselectivity. Electron-withdrawing groups, in the aromatic moiety, were necessary to obtain good yields. READ MORE

  2. 2. SAR Studies of Capsazepinod Bronchodilators. The A-ring and the Coupling region

    Author : Maria Dalence; Centrum för analys och syntes; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; COPD; Asthma; Capsazepine; Bronchodilators; Organic chemistry; SAR studies; Organisk kemi;

    Abstract : Bronchoconstriction is a hallmark in respiratory diseases such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Current therapies use bronchodilating agents in order to control the exacerbations produced by limited airflow and improve the quality of life of patients suffering from these diseases. READ MORE

  3. 3. Food availability, physical activity and body weight : role of dopamine, neuropeptide Y and orexin

    Author : Ricard Nergårdh; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : During the last decades our knowledge about neuroendocrine control of energy balance has increased tremendously. Numerous neuropeptides and hormones with pronounced effects on feeding and body weight have been identified and put into schemes as anorexic or orexigenic signals. READ MORE
