  1. 1. The Best There Is? : An Inquiry into Best Execution Rules

    Author : Thomas Ordeberg; Gustaf Sjöberg; Lars Pehrson; Howell Jackson; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; best execution; securities regulation; securities markets; MiFID; europeisk integrationsrätt; European Law;

    Abstract : Best execution obligations weigh on brokers when they execute orders to trade in shares for clients. These obligations have been seen as an outflow of general agency duties, and have been complemented by regulatory requirements related to best execution, dissemination of trading data, the handling of client orders and – in the United States – an obligation to execute at the best publicly available price or better (price protection). 2. 2. On Generic Road Vehicle Motion Modelling and Control

    Author : Johan Andreasson; Annika Stensson Trigell; Matt Best; KTH; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Vehicle engineering; Farkostteknik;

    Abstract : With the increased amount of on-board electric power driven by the ongoing hybridization, new ways to realize vehicles are likely to occur. This thesis outlines a future direction of vehicle motion control based on the assumptions that: 1) future vehicle development will face an increased amount of available actuators for vehicle propulsion and control that will open up for an increased variety of possible configurations, 2) the onboard computational power will continue to increase and allow higher demands on active safety and drivability that will require a tighter interaction between sensors and actuators, 3) the trend towards more individualized vehicles on common platforms with shorter time-to-market require design approaches that allow engineering knowledge to be transferred conveniently from one generation to the next. Abstract : Information and communication technology and development (ICTD) is a research area that has broadly captured the attention of the public and the academics in the last two decades. It deals with the interaction and the relations between the humans and the society in general on one side and the technology on the other side. READ MORE

  4. 4. Molecular characterization of the Tick-borne encephalitis virus : Environments and replication

    Author : Wessam Melik; Magnus Johansson; Sonja Best; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Tick-borne encephalitis virus; molekylärgenetik; Molecular Genetics;

    Abstract : The flavivirus genus is of major concern for world morbidity and mortality and includes viruses causing both encephalitic as well as hemorrhagic diseases. The incidence of Tick-borne encephalitis is increasing in many European countries and several reports have emphasized the expansion of the main vector, Ixodes ricinus. READ MORE

    Abstract : Tick-borne encephalitis virus (TBEV) is a neurotropic member of the genus Flavivirus. It may transmit to humans through the bite of an infected tick or consumption of unpasteurized dairyproducts, and causes tick-borne encephalitis (TBE). TBE constitutes a significant health burden in Eurasia, with more than 10,000 cases reported every year. READ MORE
