  1. 1. Quantitative Bioanalysis Liquid separations coupled to targeted mass spectrometric measurements of bioactive compounds

    University dissertation from Uppsala : Acta Universitatis Upsaliensis

    Author : Björn Arvidsson; Uppsala universitet.; [2008]
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Analytical chemistry; Method development; Enhanced microdialysis; Column switching; Liquid chromatography; Capillary electrophoresis; Electrospray ionization; Mass spectrometry; Triple quadrupole; Time-of-flight; Quantitation; Validation; Analytisk kemi;

    Abstract : Performing quantitative analysis of targeted bioactive compounds in biological samples, such as blood plasma, cerebrospinal fluid or extracts from pig liver, put high demands on the ruggedness of the method acquiring the results. In addition to the complexity of the sample matrix, the bioactive compounds targeted for analysis usually have low levels of natural abundance, further increasing the demand on the analytical method sensitivity. 3. 3. Piperaquine and Metabolites - Bioanalysis and Pharmacokinetics

    University dissertation from Göteborg : Göteborgs universitet

    Author : Mohd Yusmaidie Aziz; Göteborgs universitet.; Gothenburg University.; [2017]
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Bioanalysis; Pharmacokinetics; Piperaquine; Malaria;

    Abstract : Antimalarial piperaquine (PQ) is currently used as a partner drug with dihydroartemisinin (DHA), exhibiting high cure rates (>95%) for P. falciparum. Despite its raising usage worldwide with DHA, PQ is synthetically developed outside of big pharma pipelines. READ MORE

  4. 4. Design and development of electrochemical sensors with application in bioanalysis

    University dissertation from Göteborg : Göteborgs universitet

    Author : Kinga Zor; Lund University.; Lunds universitet.; [2011]
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; bioanalysis; electrochemistry; sensor; biosensor; miniaturization; real sample; immunoassay; μTAS;

    Abstract : There is a continuous search for reliable, robust, easy to use, portable and cost effective analytical tools with applications in food industry, biomedicine, environmental monitoring and homeland security. The main focus of this thesis is the development of electrochemical (bio)sensors and bioanalysis systems (to be applied in two major fields of interest: food & beverage industry and biomedical research) for monitoring key analytes in complex matrices, such as: meat samples, fermentation broths, and cell culture media. 5. 5. Studies on the enantioselective disposition of amlodipine : A challenge in bioanalysis

    University dissertation from Linköping : Linköpings universitet

    Author : Martin Josefsson; Linköpings universitet.; Linköpings universitet.; [1996]
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICINE; MEDICIN;

    Abstract : To study the disposition of the enantiomers of the calcium channel blocker amlodipine in human plasma, an enantioselective high performance liquid chromatographic (HPLC) assay was developed. Several HPLC techniques such as chiral ion-pair forming, chiral derivatisation and direct separation on chiral columns were evaluated. READ MORE
