1. Charting biodiversity : Scuttle flies and other poorly known insects in Sweden
Abstract : Biodiversity has fascinated people in all times. We as a species are part of the global ecosystem and our survival depends on many other species around us. Charting biodiversity, however, has proven more difficult than one could imagine. READ MORE

2. Towards inclusion of Biodiversity in Life Cycle Assessment
Abstract : Biodiversity- crucial for ecosystem health and its products and services – is being lost at an alarming rate. While it is clear that human consumption is the main driving force of the considerable losses, conversion of natural habitats for production is continuing and the subsequent intensification of those systems is likely to cause even further biodiversity decay. 3. Wooded or treeless pastures? : Linking policy, farmers' decisions and biodiversity
Abstract : Worldwide, biodiversity conservation is one of the key challenges for a sustainable future of nature and society. It is particularly important to preserve high quality habitats within otherwise intensively managed agricultural landscapes. READ MORE

4. The Biodiversity of Hydrogenases in Frankia : Characterization, regulation and phylogeny
Abstract : All the eighteen Frankia strains isolated from ten different actinorhizal host plants showed uptake hydrogenase activity. The activity of this enzyme is further increased by addition of nickel. Nickel also enhanced the degree of hydrogenase transfer into the membranes of Frankia, indicating the role of this metal in the processing of this enzyme. READ MORE

5. Fungal disease dynamics, genetic variation and biodiversity-yield relationships : — a study along a gradient of coffee management in southwestern Ethiopia
Abstract : Intensification of agricultural systems is a major threat to the associated biodiversity and could also affect the dynamics of pests and pathogens. One such system that is currently under an intensification trajectory is the production of Arabica coffee. READ MORE
