11. Experimental studies of ash transformation processes in combustion of phosphorus-rich biomass fuels
Abstract : The present thesis is a summary of eight papers dealing with experimental studies on bed agglomeration, slag formation, formation of deposits and fine particulate matter during combustion of phosphorus-rich biomass fuels. The experimental procedures were performed in a bubbling fluidized bed (5 kW), two fixed bed appliances (20 and 15 kW) and in a powder burner (150 kW). READ MORE

12. The fate and ash transformations of phosphorus in combustion of biomass and sewage sludge
Abstract : The combustion of phosphorus (P)-rich biomass has a significant potential to increase the stock of biomass resources available for renewable heat and power production. In addition, the P-rich ashes have the potential as a fertilizer and could reduce the need for non-renewable P resources in agriculture. READ MORE

13. Evaluation of a cyclone gasifier design to be used for biomass fuelled gas turbines
Abstract : This thesis is a result of experimental studies carried out as a part of the efforts made in Sweden and within the European Union to develop a technology that will make it technically and economically possible to use biomass as a gas turbine fuel. The process that has been studied is based on cyclone gasification of biomass powder and no further cleaning of the product gas from the gasifier. READ MORE

14. Effect of fuel composition and combustion conditions on phosphorus behavior during combustion of biomass
Abstract : Due to concerns for climate change and future supply of phosphorus fertilizer within agriculture, there has been an increased interest in the combustion of phosphorus containing waste residues and opportunity biomass fuels. Previous research has shown that during combustion, phosphorus has large impact on ash transformation reactions and may decrease or increase ash-related problems such as slag formation and bed agglomeration. 15. Studies of ash transformation processes in thermochemical co-conversion of phosphorus-rich manure and sludge with biomass residues
Abstract : Efficient use of resources and sustainable recovery of various materials are important to minimize the anthropogenic impact on the climate and environment. One such resource is the phosphorus (P) present in manure and sewage sludge. READ MORE
