  1. 16. One Nation, One Language? : National minority and Indigenous recognition in the politics of immigrant integration

    Author : Nina Carlsson; Karin Borevi; Emil Edenborg; Anna Triandafyllidou; Södertörns högskola; []
    Keywords : SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; immigrant integration; nation-building; national minorities; Indigenous peoples; recognition; language policy; Bulgaria; Sápmi; Finland; Sweden; liberal multiculturalism; settler colonialism; belonging; boundary-making; integration; nationsbyggande; nationella minoriteter; urfolk; erkännande; språkpolitik; Bulgarien; Sápmi; Finland; Sverige; liberal mångkulturalism; bosättarkolonialism; tillhörighet; gränsdragande; Politics; Economy and the Organization of Society; Politik; ekonomi och samhällets organisering; Östersjö- och Östeuropaforskning; Baltic and East European studies;

    Abstract : Policies regulating immigrant integration constitute a core element of nation-building through the compliance they prescribe with cultural and linguistic norms. The recognition of multiple national belongings in states with national minorities and Indigenous peoples nevertheless challenges majority-centred notions of what integration should entail. 2. 17. d-wave Josephson Junctions

    Author : Tobias Lindström; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Josephson junctions; high-temperature superconductivity; Andreev states;

    Abstract : The properties of d-wave YBCO Josephson junctions and dc-SQUIDs with high misorientation angles have beenstudied experimentally .The predominant d-wave symmetry of the pairing wavefunction in high-Tc superconductors has, to a large extent, beena hinderance in applications, but it also makes it possible to fabricate devices with novel properties that may be suitablefor applications in the quantum regime; one particulary interesting property is a strong second harmonic component in the current-phase relation ofjunctions with the electrodes oriented in a node-lobe arrangement; so-called 0-45 junctions. 3. 18. Polymers in Aqueous Lubrication

    Author : Junxue An; Per M. Claesson; Martin Malsten; KTH; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Lubrication; boundary lubrication; friction; surface forces; adsorption; adsorption hysteresis; non-equilibrium state; diblock copolymer; polyelectrolyte; thermoresponsive; mucin; QCM-D; ellipsometry; AFM; Kemi; Chemistry;

    Abstract : The main objective of this thesis work was to gain understanding of the layer properties and polymer structures that were able to aid lubrication in aqueous media. To this end, three types of polyelectrolytes: a diblock copolymer, a train-of-brushes and two brush-with-anchor mucins have been utilized. READ MORE

  4. 19. Power Reactor Noise Studies and Applications

    Author : Vasiliy Arzhanov; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; power spectra; control rod vibrations; Green s function; nesting hypothesis; adjoint function; fluctuating boundary; noise diagnostics; Accelerator Driven System; localisation algorithm; point reactor and adiabatic approximation;

    Abstract : The present thesis deals with the neutron noise arising in power reactor systems. Generally, it can be divided into two major parts: first, neutron noise diagnostics, or more specifically, novel methods and algorithms to monitor nuclear industrial reactors; and second, contributions to neutron noise theory as applied to power reactor systems.
