    Author : Kai Artur Simon; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; BPR; pharmaceutical industry; ;

    Abstract : This thesis investigates the use of Business Process Reengineering (BPR) as a change approach in the Pharmaceutical Industry. The pharmaceutical industry is undergoing profound changes. New opportunities, e.g. READ MORE

  2. 2. Analysis of Work Methods in Manufacturing Systems Engineering

    Author : Jonas Nelson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; co-operation; case study; analysis; work method; systems engineering process;

    Abstract : Globalisation leading to increased lead-time pressure within engineering departments put demands on efficient human work processes. The trend is towards co-located, cross-functional teams, but also towards geographically dispersed organisations, and collaboration among specialists over not only departmental boundaries, but also across company boundaries. 3. 3. Physics-based Modelling for Aircraft Noise and Emission Predictions

    Author : Evangelia Maria Thoma; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; measurements; trajectories.; emissions; interdependencies; FDR; turbofan engine; aircraft noise; physics-based modelling;

    Abstract : Starting from semi-empirical noise source models for the aircraft and 4D trajectory computations, this work focuses on the environmental assessment of scenario studies regarding technology evaluation and procedural planning. Extensive work was performed on improving and validating the existing tools. READ MORE

  4. 4. Aero Engine Intercooling

    Author : Xin Zhao; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; PIV; CFD; porous media; aero engine; pressure measurements; intercooling control; system performance; intercooler; variable flow path;

    Abstract : Intercooling has the potential to provide a shortcut to the next generation aero engines with higher bypass ratio (BPR), higher overall pressure ratio (OPR) and higher turbine inlet temperature (TIT) by lowering the high pressure compressor (HPC) delivery temperature. To be able to establish a systematic understanding of aero engine intercooling, the heat transfer and pressure loss characteristics of a given intercooler architecture need to be known in the parameter range anticipated for the engine optimization.
