1. The role of deep hydrocarbons in the global hydrocarbon budget
Abstract : Nowadays, the issue of global warming and related environmental problems got widespread awareness among scientific society, politics, the industry as well as it has affected our everyday life. The reason for such a negative impact on the atmosphere is attributed mainly to human activities. READ MORE

2. Measurements and Modelling of Convective Vaporization for Refrigerants in a Horizontal Tube
Abstract : An evaporator facility has been constructed to measure local values of heat transfer and pressure drop. The evaporator resembles a normal working evaporator tube in a direct-expansion evaporator applicable to large heat pump/refrigeration cycles, typically over 500 kW. The evaporator is brine-heated and uses an expansion valve to control the inlet. READ MORE

3. Synthesis, characterization and properties of zeolite films and membranes
Abstract : The work presented in this thesis was aimed to synthesize zeolite films in the absence of organic additives to avoid the potentially detrimental calcination procedure. Furthermore, the support surface was seeded with colloidal seed crystals prior to film growth. This technique has previously been used to prepare thin zeolite films. READ MORE

4. Open-tubular columns for liquid and supercritical fluid chromatography
Abstract : Methods have been developed for the preparation of narrow-bore open tubularcolumns. In this content, condensed gases (butane, chloroethane and Freon114) were used as solvents for the static coating of these columns. Adevice for filling the narrow-bore open tubular columns with solutions incondensed gases has been designed. READ MORE

5. Extraction and Chromatography of targeted emission markers in atmospheric aerosols
Abstract : Atmospheric aerosols are a highly complex and dynamic mixture of solid particles, liquid deplots and gases. They travel across the continents and affect global climate and human health in various ways, often negatively. One important aspect of research in atmospheric aerosols is the investigation of emissions to the atmosphere from various sources. READ MORE
