1. Investigations intothe crystallization of butyl paraben
Abstract : In thisproject, solubility of butyl paraben in 7 puresolvents and 5 ethanol aqueous solvents has been determined at from 1 ℃to 50 ℃. Thermodynamic properties of butyl paraben have been measured by DifferentialScanning Calorimetey. READ MORE

2. Crystallization of Parabens : Thermodynamics, Nucleation and Processing
Abstract : In this work, the solubility of butyl paraben in 7 pure solvents and in 5 different ethanol-water mixtures has been determined from 1 ˚C to 50 ˚C. The solubility of ethyl paraben and propyl paraben in various solvents has been determined at 10 ˚C. READ MORE

3. Influence of Fluid Shear on Primary Nucleation of Organic Compounds in Solution Jin Liu Doctoral Thesis
Abstract : In this work, three experimental systems have been used to study the influence of agitation/ fluid shear on primary nucleation. Three organic compounds have been used with different solvents, i.e. butyl paraben in ethanol solution, curcumin in ethanol solution and m-hydroxybenzoic acid in 1-propanol solution. READ MORE

4. Influence of fluid shear on primary nucleation of low molecular organic compounds in solution
Abstract : In this project, two experimental systems have been set up to study the influence of fluid shear on primary nucleation. In the first set of experiments, in total about 3000 nucleation experiments have been done with butyl paraben/ethanol solutions, curcumin/ethanol solutions and m-hydroxybenzoic acid/1-propanol solutions in capped vials agitated with magnetic stir bars. 5. PEG and lipids in solid dispersions and liquid crystals - structure and phase behaviour
Abstract : In this thesis, two different kinds of nano-structured systems have been studied; solid dispersion systems of polyethylene glycol (PEG) and liquid crystalline systems containing the polar lipids monoolein (MO) and phytantriol (PT). Solid dispersions of PEG were studied with addition of different substances, lipids or parabens. READ MORE
