1. Development of Multi-grit cBN Grinding Wheel for Crankshaft Grinding
Abstract : Crankshaft is a geometrically challenging component to grind. Over the years a number of grinding strategies have been developed to overcome thermal damage issues and excessive wheel wear. Radial and angular plunge processes have been adopted on some of the production machines. Recently a new, temperature-based strategy, has been proposed. READ MORE

2. Microstructure of a cubic boron nitride tool material before and after hard turning
Abstract : AbstractPolycrystalline cubic boron nitride (PCBN) materials are widely used in turning of hardened steels due to their beneficial mechanical properties like high hardness at elevated temperatures and, compared to diamond, for being more chemically stable towards iron at temperatures typical for turning operations (800-1000˚C). The wear of PCBN tools is influenced by several factors, like machining parameters, different tool geometries and varying composition of PCBN tools as well as workpiece material. READ MORE

3. Microstructure of a cubic boron nitride tool material and its degradation during hard turning operations
Abstract : Abstract. Polycrystalline cubic boron nitride (PCBN) materials are widely used in turning operations of hardened steels due to their beneficial mechanical properties like maintained high hardness at elevated temperatures, adequate toughness and for being more chemically stable towards iron compared to diamond at temperatures typical for turning operations. 4. Development of Multi-grit cBN Grinding Wheel for Crankshaft Grinding
Abstract : A crankpin, part of a crankshaft, has a complex profile that is difficult to grind. The process often causes challenges such as excessive heat on the crankpin sidewall and wheel wear on the radius, causing reduced dressing interval. Different solutions were proposed to overcome these challenges, mainly focusing on the process, i.e. READ MORE

5. Modelling of a single layer graphene membrane
Abstract : The present contribution deals with the modeling of thin graphene membranes. Such membranes have a significant electrical and physical properties used for nano or microdevices like resonators and Atomic Force/mass Measurements (AFM) [1]. The membrane is considered as a homogenized graphene monolayer on the macroscopic structural scale. READ MORE
