21. Glyceryl Trinitrate Distribution and the "Remarkable Tolerance"
Abstract : To study the distribution of glyceryl trinitrate (GTN), a gas chromatographic method was developed for simultaneous determination of GTN and its dinitrate metabolites in 'plasma and tissues. The distribution of GTN and 1 ,3-g1yceryl dinitrate (1,3-GDN) and 1,2-glyceryl dinitrate (1,2-GDN) was studied in GTN tolerant and nonto1erant rats. READ MORE

22. Clinical and Laboratory Investigations in Postmenopusal Women with Unstable Coronary Artery Disease
Abstract : Coronary artery disease (CAD) is the major cause of death in both sexes in the western world. In men with chest pain the diagnostic methods are more useful than in women. An exercise test is considered less reliable in women, mostly due to a high percentage offalse positive tests. READ MORE

23. Nitric oxide modulates neutrophil function
Abstract : An important role of the neutrophils is to attack and destroy microbial intruders. In order to do so, these leukocytes must adhere to the blood vessel wall, pass through the endothelial cell layer, move through the tissues to the point of infection, ingest the intruder and destroy it. 24. Studies on lipid transport and extracellular vesicle production in Caenorhabditis elegans ciliated neurons
Abstract : The cilium is a protrusion of cell membrane. Both the protein and lipid contents of cilia are different from those of other parts of the cell membrane. While the transport of proteins into and out of cilia has been intensively studied, much less is known about how the lipid content of ciliary membranes is regulated. READ MORE

25. Regulatory Functions of the Juxtaglomerular Apparatus
Abstract : The tubuloglomerular feedback mechanism is an important regulator in the juxtaglomerular apparatus and it detects flow dependent alterations in luminal NaCl concentration ([NaCl]) at the macula densa (MD) cell site via a Na+-K+-2Cl cotransporter. Signals are sent by the MD to adjust the afferent arteriole tone and altering release of renin. READ MORE
