1. The Hydrodynamics of Waterjet/Hull Interaction
Abstract : The objective of the present investigation is to explore the physics behind the waterjet/hull interaction, and in particular the negative thrust deduction often reported in the semi-planing speed range. Another objective is to propose a validated numerical technique for computing the hydrodynamics of waterjet-driven hulls. READ MORE

2. Multi-Agent Mission Planning and Execution for Small Autonomous Underwater Vehicles
Abstract : Our planet is mostly covered in water, most of it still unexplored. In order to understand our environment better, oceanographers have been mapping and monitoring these waters using ship-mounted sensors and wired vehicles with limited range compared to the vastness of the oceans. 3. Group A Streptococci; Epidemiology and Genetics of Antibiotic Resistance
Abstract : Group A streptococci (GAS) cause throat and skin infections, severe invasive diseases as well as the non-suppurative complications acute rheumatic fever and glomerulonephritis. GAS have retained susceptibility to betalactam drugs, but resistance to alternative antibiotics is of concern. READ MORE

4. Host-Pathogen Interactions in Pseudomonas aeruginosa Invasive and Respiratory Tract Infection
Abstract : Pseudomonas aeruginosa is an opportunistic bacterium that causes debilitating infections when the immune defence is compromised. It possesses an arsenal of virulence traits to colonize most compartments of the body and is often highly resistant against commonly used antimicrobial drugs. READ MORE

5. Human papillomavirus testing and its application in cervical cancer prevention
Abstract : SUMMARY Because of the strong causal relationship between persistent infections of human papillomavirus (HPV) and cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) and cancer, HPVtesting has been proposed for improvement of cervical screening programs, including triaging and follow-up after treatment for CIN. We developed two new methods for HPV-testing with genotyping: A high-throughput HPV genotyping method that uses mass spectrometry for detection of the products of type-specific mass extend reactions, and a method with particularly sensitive detection of a broad spectrum of HPV-types, also in the case of multiple infections, that uses type-specific probes coupled to fluorescent beads for detection on the Luminex platform.
