  1. 6. Cellulose Dissolution and Amphiphilicity : Insights on the Emulsion Formation and Stabilization

    Author : Carolina Costa; Magnus Norgren; Håkan Edlund; Orlando Rojas; Mittuniversitetet; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Abstract : An amphiphilic polymer is expected to adsorb at the oil-water interface and be capable of stabilizing emulsions. Cellulose derivatives, cellulose nanoparticles and regenerated cellulose particles show an intrinsic amphiphilic character by self-assembling at oil-water interfaces and stabilizing emulsions without the aid of surfactants or any other co-stabilizers. 2. 7. Structural studies of glycans by NMR spectroscopy

    Author : Carolina Fontana; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : .... READ MORE

  3. 8. On Scalable H-infinity Control

    Author : Carolina Lidström; Institutionen för reglerteknik; []
    Keywords : ;

    Abstract : Many of the classical approaches to controller synthesis do not scale well for large and complex systems. This is mainly due to computational complexity and the lack of distributed structure in the resulting controllers. READ MORE

  4. 9. Neutral proteases of rodent mast cells

    Author : Carolina Lunderius; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Cell and molecular biology; Mast cell; serine protease; MMCP; RMCP; heparin; Cell- och molekylärbiologi; Cell and molecular biology; Cell- och molekylärbiologi; immunologi; Immunology;

    Abstract : Mast cells are important effector cells in general as well as in allergic inflammation andin the defence against helminthic parasites and bacteria. Two major populations, withdifferences in tissue distribution, have been identified; connective tissue mast cells andmucosal mast cells. READ MORE

  5. 10. Competing Under Pressure : State Anxiety, Sports Performance and Assessment

    Author : Carolina Lundqvist; Peter Hassmén; Andrew Lane; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; competition; intra-individual variability; directional interpretations; emotions; sports performance; CSAI-2; psychometrics; Psychology; Psykologi; Samhällsvetenskap Humaniora;

    Abstract : Elevated levels of anxiety are a common response to stressful competitive sports situations, are known to moderate athletic performance and are referred to as an unpleasant emotional state associated with perceptions of situational threat. The empirical studies in this dissertation considered primarily psychometric, methodological and conceptual issues of relevance for the study of anxiety and sports performance. READ MORE
