  2. 2. Linearity Enhancements of Receiver Front-end Circuits for Wireless Communication

    University dissertation from Institutionen för anläggning och miljö

    Author : Mohammed Abdulaziz; Lund University.; Lunds universitet.; Lund University.; Lunds universitet.; [2016-04-25]
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; CMOS; receivers; operational transconductance amplifiers; filtering; channel select filters; stability; low noise amplifiers; linearization; carrier aggregation; spectrum sensing;

    Abstract : Technology scaling in advanced CMOS nodes has been very successful in reducing the cost and increasing the operating frequency, however, it has also resulted in reduced transistor intrinsic gain and increased thermal noise coefficient, and most importantly, deteriorated linearity performance. At the same time, advanced wireless communication standards offer ever increasing data rates and pose more stringent requirements on coexistence, leading to very stringent linearity requirements. 3. 3. Adaptive Baseband Pro cessing and Configurable Hardware for Wireless Communication

    University dissertation from Department of Electrical and Information Technology, Lund University

    Author : Rakesh Gangarajaiah; Lund University.; Lunds universitet.; [2017]
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Wireless receivers; baseband processing; LTE-A; MIMO; OFDM; carrier aggregation; channel preprocessing; adaptive signal processing; non-linearity mitigation; massive MIMO;

    Abstract : The world of information is literally at one’s fingertips, allowing access to previously unimaginable amounts of data, thanks to advances in wireless communication. The growing demand for high speed data has necessitated theuse of wider bandwidths, and wireless technologies such as Multiple-InputMultiple-Output (MIMO) have been adopted to increase spectral efficiency. 4. 4. Wet magnetic concentration for weakly magnetic mineral fines and ultrafines

    University dissertation from Luleå : Luleå tekniska universitet

    Author : Wang Yanmin; [1993]
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Mineralteknik; Mineral Processing;

    Abstract : The first objective of the thesis was to reveal the characteristic magnetic behaviour of natural weakly magnetic minerals (such as hematite and chromite), and the size limits of the particles recoverable by the existing modem high intensity and high gradient magnetic separators. The second objective was to enhance the particle aggregation andlor the magnetic response for wet magnetic concentration of the ultrafines which escaped from the separators. READ MORE

  5. 5. Influence of host and bacterial factors during Neisseria meningitidis colonization

    University dissertation from Stockholm : Department of Molecular Biosciences, The Wenner-Gren Institute, Stockholm University

    Author : Sara Sigurlásdóttir; Stockholms universitet.; [2018]
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Neisseria meningitidis; Colonization; Host-bacteria interactions; Lactate; Biofilms; Polynucleotide phosphorylase; molekylär biovetenskap; Molecular Bioscience;

    Abstract : The human-restricted pathogen Neisseria meningitidis is a major cause of bacterial meningitis and sepsis worldwide. Colonization of the mucosal layer in the upper respiratory tract is essential to establish an asymptomatic carrier state and invasive disease. N. READ MORE
