  1. 1. Semiconductor-ionic Materials for Low Temperature Solid Oxide Fuel Cells

    Author : Muhammad Afzal; Andrew R. Martin; Peter Lund; Hab. Armelle Ringuede; KTH; []
    Keywords : Semiconductor-ionic materials; electrolyte-layer free fuel cell; low temperature solid oxide fuel cell; fuel to electricity conversion; Schottky junction; theoretical and experimental curves; Halvledar-joniska material; elektrolytskikt-fri bränslecell; lågtemperatur fastoxidbränslecell; bränsle till elomvandling; Schottky junction; teoretiska och experimentella kurvor; Energy Technology; Energiteknik;

    Abstract : Solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) is considered as an attractive candidate for energy conversion within the fuel cell (FC) family due to several advantages including environment friendly, use of non-noble materials and fuel flexibility. However, due to high working temperatures, conventional SOFC faces many challenges relating to high operational and capital costs besides the limited selection of the FC materials and their compatibility issues. 2. 2. Endoplasmic reticulum function in dendrites and dendritic spines of hippocampal neurons

    Author : Ai Na Ng; Sektion IV; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Endoplasmic reticulum; primary culture; dendritic spines; live cell imaging; STIM1; carbachol; store-operated calcium entry; 3; familial Alzheimer s disease; 5-dihyroxyphenyglycine;

    Abstract : In the hippocampus, dendritic spines are compartmentalized postsynaptic micro-domains in the excitatory synapse. Subsets of bigger and mushroom-shaped hippocampal dendritic spines contain tubules and cisterns of endoplasmic reticulum (ER) that are connected to the soma and dendrites of the neuron. READ MORE

  3. 3. Clinical aspects of molecular profiles in metastatic malignant melanoma

    Author : Henrik Ekedahl; Lund Kirurgi; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Melanom; Prognos; BRAF; TERT; Genuttryck; Next generation sequencing; Melanoma; Prognosis; BRAF; TERT; Gene Expression; Next generation sequencing;

    Abstract : Malignant melanoma is a heterogeneous, malignant neoplastic disease, most often originating in the skin. Melanoma is characterized by a high mutational load and has a vastly variable prognosis, depending on disease stage. READ MORE

  4. 4. Transnational Party Alliances : Analysing the Hard-Won Alliance Between Conservatives and Christian Democrats in the European Parliament

    Author : Karl Magnus Johansson; Statsvetenskapliga institutionen; []
    Keywords : SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Political and administrative sciences; transnational.; arena; Alliance; autonomy; Christian Democrat; Conservative; constraint; identity; integration; motive; opportunity; process; political party; förvaltningskunskap; Statsvetenskap; förvaltningskunskap; alliance;

    Abstract : This study examines processes of transnational alliance-building among political parties in the European Union (EU). It is associated with theories of transnational relations, neofunctionalist integration theory and domestic politics approaches to international co-operation and integration. READ MORE

  5. 5. Protein phosphorylation in plant mitochondria

    Author : André Struglics; Lund Ortopedi; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; FoF1-ATPase; autophosphorylation; protein kinase activity; protein phosphorylation; Plant mitochondria; inner mitochondrial membrane; NDPK; Physiological biophysics; Växtfysiologi;

    Abstract : Protein phosphorylation in the subcompartments of plant mitochondria was investigated by labelling with [gamma-32P]ATP and by SDS-PAGE/autoradiography. About 20 proteins in inside-out inner mitochondrial membranes from potato tubers were phosphorylated by endogenous protein kinases when incubated with [gamma-32P]ATP. READ MORE
