12. Numerical prediction of propeller induced hull pressure pulses and noise
Abstract : An operating marine propeller is one of the major sources inducing hull pressure pulses, onboard noise and vibration as well as underwater radiated noise. There are rising concerns of environmental impacts and comfort and welfare of passengers and crews due to these negative effects. READ MORE

13. Experimental Investigation of Cavitation-Bubble-Induced Atomization
Abstract : Improving the efficiency and lowering the emissions of internal combustion engines (ICE) has been drawing increased attention because climate change caused by greenhouse gases and the need to reduce emission harmful to human health, and stricter legislation on the emissions from liquid-fueled transportation is implemented. Design of the liquid fuel atomizer, which atomizes the fuel delivered into the combustion chamber by the fuel injection system, is important because a good atomization, which facilitates the evaporation of fuel and improves the fuel-air mixture, leads to higher efficiency and lower emissions of ICE. 14. Numerical and Experimental Investigation of Hydrodynamic Mechanisms in Erosive Sheet Cavitation
Abstract : Cavitation erosion is one of the limiting factors in the design of hydraulic machinery as it is associated with the reduction in the operating life-time of a hydraulic machine and a significant increase in maintenance cost. In order to be able to design a hydraulic machine with a low risk of cavitation erosion, understanding the hydrodynamic mechanisms controlling the cavitation erosion is of great importance. READ MORE

15. Process Intensification by Ultrasound Controlled Cavitation
Abstract : Process industries are cornerstones in today’s industrialized society. They contribute significantly in the manufacturing of various goods and products that are used in our day-to-day life. Our society’s paradigm of consumerism accompanied by a rise in global population drives an ever increasing demand for goods. READ MORE
