  2. 2. On control strategies and incrementality in unification-based chart parsing

    Author : Mats Wirén; Linköpings universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Talspråk;

    Abstract : This thesis is a compilation of three papers dealing with aspects of context-free- and unification-based chart parsing of natural language. The first paper contains a survey and an empirical comparison of rule-invocation strategies in context-free chart parsing. READ MORE

  3. 3. Therapy-resistant enuresis : In search of new therapies and prognostic markers

    Author : Elisabet Lundmark; Tryggve Nevéus; Arne Stenberg; Sievert Lindström; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : Nocturnal enuresis; Reboxetine; Antidepressants; Desmopressin; Voiding chart; Pediatrik; Pediatrics;

    Abstract : A large minority of children with enuresis do not respond to treatment with either desmopressin or the enuresis alarm. Anticholinergics have not proven as successful as expected. The fourth evidence-based treatment of enuresis, the tricyclic antidepressant imipramine, is cardiotoxic when overdosed, which has led to diminished use. READ MORE

  4. 4. Convergence Analysis and Design of Multiple Concatenated Codes

    Author : Fredrik Brännström; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; extrinsic information transfer EXIT function; convergence analysis; Multiple concatenated codes; code search; scheduling; parameter estimation; iterative decoding; EXIT chart; puncturing;

    Abstract : The objective of this thesis is to develop a methodology for designing efficient multiple concatenated coding schemes, consisting of two or more constituent codes, concatenated in serial or in parallel. Extrinsic information transfer (EXIT) analysis is found to be a suitable and versatile analysis tool for such codes and thus, the design methodology is based almost entirely on this technique. 5. 5. Iterative receivers with channel estimation for MIMO and multi-user OFDM systems

    Author : Peter Hammarberg; Institutionen för elektro- och informationsteknik; []
    Keywords : TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Iterative receiver; channel estimation; multi-user detection; OFDM; MIMO; IDMA; complexity; EXIT chart; channel measurements.;

    Abstract : The traffic in wireless networks has been showing an exponential growth over the last decade. In order to meet the demand, and support a continuation of this growth, the scarce radio resources need to be efficiently used. READ MORE
