1. Early Treatment of Class II Malocclusion With Excessive Overjet : evaluating oral health-related quality of life, randomised controlled trials on headgear activator treatment and costs
Abstract : Class II malocclusion with excessive overjet is one of the most common malocclusions among children and adolescents. In addition to increasing the risk for dental trauma, the malocclusion can also be related to bullying due to the prominent maxillary incisors. READ MORE

2. Functional appliance treatment and stability in Class II/1 malocclusion, and masticatory muscle characteristics
Abstract : Aims: To evaluate the short-term antero-posterior effects on Class II division 1 malocclusion in growing children using functional appliances, and investigate whether the functional capacity of the masticatory musculature can be used as a predictive variable in determining the treatment and post-treatment effects following functional appliance treatment. Material and Methods: Firstly, a literature search was carried out identifying prospective clinical trials on the treatment of Class II malocclusion using functional appliances or/and headgear in growing children. 3. Modified Glycopeptides Targeting Rheumatoid Arthritis : Exploring molecular interactions in class II MHC/glycopeptide/T-cell receptor complexes
Abstract : Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an autoimmune inflammatory disease that leads to degradation of cartilage and bone mainly in peripheral joints. In collagen-induced arthritis (CIA), a mouse model for RA, activation of autoimmune CD4+ T cells depends on a molecular recognition system where T-cell receptors (TCRs) recognize a complex between the class II MHC Aq protein and CII259-273, a glycopeptide epitope from type II collagen (CII). 4. Alcohol and aging : a multimethod study on heterogeneity and multidimensionality
Abstract : Background and Objectives: With an ageing population, the number of older persons with substance use problems, particularly problematic alcohol use, is increasing. Despite growing recognition of the negative consequences of problematic alcohol use on older persons, there is a dearth of knowledge about the alcohol use profiles and the dimensionality of alcohol problems in older people. 5. Electrical remodeling in arial fibrillation - assessment using surface electrocardiograms, prognostic implications and potential reversal
Abstract : The fibrillatory rate of the surface ECG during atrial fibrillation (AF) has been suggested for quantification of the individual atrial remodeling, to monitor interventions and to predict the response to different therapies. In this dissertation, the relation between fibrillatory rate of the surface ECG and (1) clinical and echocardiographic variables, (2) the outcome of cardioversion, (3) circulating markers of inflammation and hemostasis, (4) the risk of left atrial thrombus formation, (5) the risk of stroke, and (6) the effects of candesartan on the fibrillatory rate were investigated in human persistent atrial fibrillation (AF).
