  1. 6. Studies of ankle fractures : classification, epidemiology, complications and results

    Author : Hans Juto; Per Morberg; Magnus Hultin; Michael Möller; Sari Ponzer; Umeå universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Ankle fracture; Swedish Fracture Register; AO OTA-classification; epidemiology; venous thromboembolic event; low-molecular-weight heparin; sick leave; outcome; Orthopaedics; ortopedi;

    Abstract : The ankle fracture is one of the most common fractures in adult patients and is a heterogeneous group of fractures. From the fully stable fracture on the most distal part of thefibula to severely unstable and even dislocated ankles. Patients with ankle fractures often report a good result after treatment, but a small group have persistent problems. READ MORE

  2. 7. Studies in the Dynamics of Science : Exploring emergence, classification, and interdisciplinarity

    Author : Qi Wang; Ulf Sandström; Martin Meyer; KTH; []
    Keywords : SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; science dynamics; bibliometrics; emerging research topics; interdisciplinary research; journal classification systems; cognitive distance; research policy;

    Abstract : The dynamic nature of science is embodied in the growth of knowledge in magnitude and the transformation of knowledge in structure. More specifically, the growth in magnitude is indicated by a sharp increase in the number of scientific publications in recent decades. READ MORE

  4. 9. A Multimodal Approach toward the Biological Categorization of Autism - Development of Theoretical Models, Classification Methods, and Biomarkers

    Author : Darko Sarovic; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Autism; Classification; Biomarker; Theoretical Framework; Magnetoencephalography; Magnetic Resonance Imaging; Morphometry;

    Abstract : Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is an umbrella term for a group of neurodevelopmental disorders (NDD) which are behaviorally defined by the presence of difficulties with social communication, and behavioral rigidity and repetitiveness, including sensory disturbances. The overarching aim of this thesis was to improve the categorization of autism through the development of a theoretical framework and a multivariable classification method, and identify biomarkers which together would aid in the understanding of autism and be used in ASD classification. 5. 10. Multitemporal Spaceborne Polarimetric SAR Data for Urban Land Cover Mapping

    Author : Xin Niu; Yifang Ban; Paolo Gamba; KTH; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; RADARSAT-2; spaceborne; polarimetric SAR; urban land cover; classification; Information technology; Informationsteknik;

    Abstract : Urban represents one of the most dynamic areas in the global change context. To support rational policies for sustainable urban development, remote sensing technologies such as Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) enjoy increasing popularity for collecting up-to-date and reliable information such as urban land cover/land-use.
