  1. 11. On Experimental and Theoretical Studies of Dynamics and Particle Production in p+Nucleus and Heavy Ion Reactions

    Author : Anton B Fokin; Partikel- och kärnfysik; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; heavy-ion collisions; excitation function; subthreshold pion production; collective effects; entropy and chaos production; d p ratio; molecular dynamics; artificial neural networks; multifragmentation; Physics; Fysik; Fysicumarkivet A:1998:Fokin;

    Abstract : Several experiments and theoretical models of intermediate energy heavy ion collision physics are presented in this thesis. Statistical and dynamical aspects of nuclear collisions are widely discussed these days, particularly in connection with the multifragmentation phenomenon and the possible link to a liquid-gas phase transition in the spinodal region of nuclear matter phase diagram. 2. 12. Dynamics in magnetic metamaterials

    Author : Agnė Čiučiulkaitė; Vassilios Kapaklis; Gabriella Andersson; Björgvin Hjörvarsson; Will Branford; Uppsala universitet; []
    Keywords : NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES;

    Abstract : Metamaterials are artificially created structures with properties that are not found in nature. They can be tailored to achieve desired response to external excitations such as external electric and magnetic fields, as well as to enhance materials’ optical or magnetic activity. READ MORE

  3. 13. Learning Together, Leading Change : Understanding Collective Learning in Social Entrepreneurial Organisations

    Author : Morteza Eslahchi; Ali Osman; Maria Gustavsson; Stockholms universitet; []
    Keywords : SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; collective learning; social entrepreneurial organisations; social entrepreneurship; social entrepreneur; social innovation; communities of practice; Sweden; COVID-19 pandemic; pedagogik; Education;

    Abstract : This dissertation aims to generate an understanding of collective learning in social entrepreneurial organisations in Sweden, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Employing a collective learning-centred perspective, I want to explore the following key areas: a) the learning conditions and organising processes entailed in becoming a social entrepreneur and creating a social entrepreneurial organisation, b) the importance of collective learning for organisational adaptation and change in tackling exogenous factors such as the COVID-19 pandemic, and c) the role of leadership in creating conditions conducive to collective learning processes in social entrepreneurial organisations during the COVID-19 pandemic. 4. 14. Diversity, dynamics and deficits : the role of social networks for the health of aging populations in Indonesia

    Author : Julia Schröders; Miguel San Sebastian; Maria Nilsson; Fatwa Sari Tetra Dewi; Mark Nichter; Andreas Motel-Klingebiel; Umeå universitet; []
    Keywords : MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; social networks; loneliness; aging; older adult health; noncommunicable diseases; disablement processes; healthcare utilization; elderly care; mixed-methods; causal inference; Indonesia;

    Abstract : Background: This thesis takes as a predicate that humans are social animals and as such, that their social networks and health are intrinsically connected. A guiding heuristic of this thesis was the Berkman model which conceptualizes how social networks impact health. READ MORE

  5. 15. Environmental Technology and its Role in the Search for Urban Environmental Sustainability : The Dynamics of Adaptation
