    Abstract : This thesis reports a study involving the use of Halomonas boliviensis, a moderate halophile, for production of biopolyester poly(3-hydroxybutyrate) (PHB) and compatible solutes ectoine and hydroxyectoine through high cell-density cultivation comprising fed-batch cultures.
