1. Dynamic Modelling and Simulation of Liquid Food Process Lines
Abstract : In the present work a dynamic model library of components for process lines was developed. The analysis addressed characteristic aspects of liquid food process lines, and new models were developed for fluid transitions, dispersion, mixing zones and first-order chemical reactions in pipes and heat exchangers. 2. Spectral Accuracy in Fast Ewald Methods and Topics in Fluid Interface Simulation
Abstract : This work contains two separate but related parts: one on spectrally accurate and fast Ewald methods for electrostatics and viscous flow, and one on micro- and complex fluid interface problems. In Part I we are concerned with fast and spectrally accurate methods to compute sums of slowly decaying potentials over periodic lattices. READ MORE

3. Modelling of Moving Contact Lines in Two-Phase Flows
Abstract : Moving contact line problems appear in many natural and industrial processes. A contact line is formed where the interface between two immiscible fluids meets a solid wall. Examples from everyday life include raindrops falling on a window and water bugs resting on water surfaces. READ MORE

4. Citrus Waste Biorefinery: Process Development, Simulation and Economic Analysis
Abstract : The production of ethanol and other sustainable products including methane, limonene and pectin from citrus wastes (CWs) was studied in the present thesis. In the first part of the work, the CWs were hydrolyzed using enzymes – pectinase, cellulase and β-glucosidase – and the hydrolyzate was fermented using encapsulated yeasts in the presence of the inhibitor compound ‘limonene’. 5. Molecular Processes in Dynamic Wetting : Du som saknar dator/datorvana kan kontakta Cathrine Bergh, [email protected] för information
Abstract : The spreading of liquids onto and over surfaces is a fundamental process in nature. It is present in all forms and sizes: From rivers carving through landscapes, to our blood stream transporting nutrients to cells, and even single water molecules moving through channels into these cells.
