3. Turbulent Swirl Flow Modeling for Combustor Applications
Abstract : Numerical simulations of three-dimensional confined swirl flows in a combustion chamber geometry are carried out with improved turbulence and combustion models. In the first part of the work a comparative study of six turbulence models is done in application to swirl flow. READ MORE

4. Bioelectrochemical Applications of Reactions Catalyzed by Immobilized Enzymes
Abstract : The sensitivity of biosensors can be increased substantially by incorporation in a substrate recycling scheme. Based on the amplification of NAD+/NADH by the recycling reaction catalyzed by glycerol dehydrogenase (GDH) and diaphorase, NAD+/NADH can be determined amperometrically with around 1000 times higher sensitivity than for the substrate sensing mode. 5. Capacity-controlled Ground Source Heat Pump Systems for Swedish single-family dwellings
Abstract : The overall objective of this thesis is to develop a structured method to approach the challenge of better understanding the techniques and potential for capacity control in Ground Source Heat Pump (GSHP) systems used in Swedish single-family dwellings. This thesis aims at development of a generic model of the system that can be used for comparative, descriptive, and predictive analysis of capacity controlled GSHP systems in single-family dwellings.
