1. Bronze Age Identities : Costume, Conflict and Contact in Northern Europe 1600-1300 BC
Abstract : This dissertation deals with male and female social identities during the Middle Bronze Age (1600-1300 BC) in southern Scandinavia and northern Germany. South Scandinavian Bronze Age research has traditionally focused on the male sphere, while women have seldom been seriously considered or analysed in terms of their roles, power or influences on society. 2. A Study of the Angle of Contact : with a special focus on John Wallis' conception of quantities and angles

3. Analysis of Ball CV-joints of Fixed Type
Abstract : Two theoretical models for analysing ball CV-joints of fixed type are presented. The models, which have been implemented in computer programs, calculate internal conditions such as load distribution, contact angles and displacements for different operating conditions. READ MORE

4. Dynamic Wetting of Solid Surfaces, Influence of Surface Structures and Surface Active Polymers
Abstract : The effect of surface structures on the dynamics of wetting was investigated through measurements of the dynamic contact angle and spreading velocity of oil droplets spreading over surfaces with parallel and gridlike V-shaped channels. A rim of liquid was observed to spread out in the channels ahead of the dropfront after a short time of spreading (seconds). READ MORE

5. Hydrophobic surfaces: Effect of surface structure on wetting and interaction forces
Abstract : The use of hydrophobic surfaces is important for many processes both in nature and industry. Interactions between hydrophobic species play a key role in industrial applications such as water-cleaning procedures and pitch control during papermaking but they also give information on how to design surfaces like hydrophobic mineral pigments.
